Seddon's Cafes and Takeaways are closed on a Monday so finding Charles Street Fish and Chips' new management decided to open on Monday evenings was a surprise - a pleasant one. We ordered over the phone although the fish we wanted from their menu was not available but there were plenty of others to choose from. Pick up was nearly ready when we called at the shop. Shop itself was bright and clean and the young staff were bright and welcoming. There were a number of people waiting for orders so the shop was obviously popular. Fantastic fish & chips. Started going there 13 yrs ago. Although it was only fish shop back then in Seddon the then owners were great people & excellent service. It took 3 new owners to get back to being great. 7 or so months on still going great. Some Thursdays most Fridays can be a wait of up to 40 minutes. But must be worth the wait as it happens every week. Try before 6pm or after 8pm. 3 fresh salads also on menu.
Delicious meat and vege burgers and great chips. We went on a busy friday night and they had a whole team of workers there. Everyone doing their job well and we were told it would be 15 mins or so and it was. Great service, great price and excellent food. Thank you!!
