I was there same night as Terry Fallon (reviewer here). It is a truly abominable place. The fire alarm sounded around 8AM on Saturday morning. The building is abandoned by the owner at 8PM when he leaves to go home. (I wonder if that is even legal) Guests evacuated down the perilous fire escape which was wet with rain, extremely steep, and very narrow. We gathered at the front all confused about what to do. I met the owner later when taking the room key back and he was furious because a family had cancelled because of this experience which he blamed on a bedroom smoker. No apology, no nothing. The restaurant is in desperate need of a thorough cleaning and update. The room appeared to have not been cleaned in years with noticeable dirt, handprints, possible bloodstains, and other unpleasant sights. I was rudely disturbed to check out even though I had booked for another night. The neighboring couple left early due to a flooded bath and freezing shower water, and they also complained about the poor room condition. The customer service was lacking and there was a suggestion that they might become hostile if you choose to eat in your room. Despite these issues, the location of the restaurant is excellent and the city itself is beautiful. Overall, I would not recommend this place.
This hotel is terrible, more like a house of horrors. The bathroom was dirty with feces in the toilet that had not been cleaned, and there was thick dust everywhere. There was no one to check us in, and the hotel owner leaves the back door open so anyone can enter. There were no fire safety measures in place and no one would even know who is staying at the hotel in case of an emergency. It was the worst hotel experience ever, with no duvet covers, hand towels, or other guests wandering around looking for amenities. The owners went home and there were no other staff members present, ruining our weekend getaway.
I don't often leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience at this place - it was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in! The rooms were dirty, customer service was nonexistent, we had to climb through a fire door to enter at night because all other doors were locked. There were not enough towels or blankets, even though the room was advertised for 4 people. I would never stay here again, even if you paid me. Réservez une table maintenant
Toilet seat hanging off upon arrival and toilet was filthy, hallways are pitch black and lights don’t come on till about 10/11pm, fire alarm blaring at 8am with guests not knowing where to go and one guest having to silence the alarm as there is no staff in the building till 9/9:30, I know it’s only 2 star but some of these standards are just appalling, would not be returning here in a hurry
Dreadful. Dark corridors with steps with no lights working, very dangerous, Shower head in my room held in place with gaffer tape. Cups for tea and coffee stuck to the saucer and cups not clean inside. No breakfast provided. Will I be coming back? I'll let you guess. Rooms: 1 Service: 1 Location: 2
The strangest place I've ever stayed in, the rooms are dark, the staff almost non exited, the whole place locked up by 9pm, it's supposed to be a restaurant!The way in in the evening is around the back wide open to anyone, if I'd been staying on my own I'd of left.And our payment was taken twice!
