We stumbled across this place as we were staying nearby and we love Indian food. The food and drink selection is pretty good. The entre we had (some curry potato ball thing) was delicious. The garlic naan was really nice - not too thick and not too oily. We got a lamb main and a vego main that we're both yummy - the only problem was they were very mild because they didn't ask how hot we'd like it and we forgot to say we like spicy food. But for mild curries the flavours were lovely. I'd go back to this place again.
We've been here 3 days (from Melbourne) and have eaten at Chillies twice already. Such lovely food. We have tried the onion bhajies (light crisp batter) the lamb mahkani (so creamy and smooth) and the goat curry(chef's special) which was deep and richly flavoured, the degree of heat is your choice. The service is impeccable and friendly and the price is so reasonable for the high quality of the cuisine. We will be back, most definitely.
Take away review - we had butter chicken, paneer makhani, beef bombay, butter & garlic naan & papadams. The best dish was paneer makhani, mild but full of flavour and the naans. The naans were soft & light, very moorish.
The other curries were on the salty side.
It was a fine takeaway. I would dine in the future to see if it is better a better experience. The menu on zomato is not current from price point.
We just visited two days the chillies indian restaurant along with family. We had a great time. The Indian dishes specially Ghost Biryani, Chicken Tikka are very very delicious. Grande nourriture indienne dans un sandbay tranquille! J'ai commandé un poulet préféré au beurre préféré et une paire d'ail Naan. La nourriture était délicieuse et exactement le droit d'épicer. Une belle trouvaille et reviendra ici la prochaine fois à Tasmanie.
This was our second trip to Hobart this year and we made a point of coming back as it had been great last time. Fast and friendly service and the food is excellent. Highly recommended.
I always look for a good indian restaurant when i travel and this is very good. I like hot and spicy and if you ask for extra spicy vindaloo they oblige. Very pleasant staff as well.
Great vege options, great prices and in a great location. The palak paneer was especially good. Decent selection of wine. Homemade sweet lime drink was delicious too.

The food was amazing! If I ever come back to Hobart I will definately be visiting again. Hats off to the chef. Loved it!
Great food and great service !! We were staying within walking distance so dined twice in four days .
