Nicole is very professional and super easy to communicate with from start to finish. I don't live in Mackay but together we organised this party via email, including entertainment, decorations and menu. We opted for 3 entrees: pork kebabs, prawn cocktails and spring rolls. I had heard good things about this local restaurant, so I decided to try it out with a friend for lunch last Wednesday (01.03.2017). My friend had been recommended to try the pizzas, and I'm glad she did because they were delicious. We asked if they could make a half Supreme and half Vegetarian pizza on a thin crust, which they happily did for an extra $1.00. They even offered to make it gluten-free, but we declined. My colleague and I are currently working in Mackay, originally for a one-day job before heading north. It just so happened that we are here the night before cyclone Debbie is expected to make landfall. With nothing else open in town, we decided to stop by and grab a pizza. The staff at the restaurant were incredibly friendly and provided quick service, making us feel like valued customers despite the busy evening. The pizzas were delicious, made with fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection, with a beautiful and crispy crust. Had heard good things about Claudie's pizzas and my partner and I were not disappointed. Ordered two pizzas named after the proprietor's daughters and both were a delicious combination of unique flavours. The "Polly" was covered in fat, juicy prawns - while the "Annabelle" was a tasty combination of pepperoni, feta, caramelised onion and BBQ sauce. No shortage of boutique beers either. The "Mismatch Session Ale" is definitely recommended. Everything at Claudies is reasonably priced and, being family run, no surprise that children are welcome. Will certainly return to try more pizzas and beers.

I found myself stranded in Mackay with my work colleagues during cyclone Debbie. Thankfully, Claudies Restaurant stayed open throughout the whole ordeal. Despite working with a limited staff, the owners' friendliness, professionalism, and hospitality were exceptional. They provided a much-needed refuge not only for me but also for SES, Army, paramedics, firefighters, and local police. The owners deserve to be nominated for the 'outstanding commitment to the community during a catastrophic weather event' award.

Every time I have visited Claudies, I have thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. The pizzas are delicious as are the other meals, the coffee is fantastic, and the service is friendly...what else could you ask for!
Was staying close to this restaurant and decided to give it a go. The pizza was excellent and so were the chips. Service was friendly and minimal wait time. Will definitely return.
