Definitely traditional American, chain restaurant vibes. Not my thing, but I can see the demographic they're catering to. Nothing amazing for me about the food. Fine, but I'll probably spend my money somewhere else next time. But others will probably enjoy. Was busy, expect a wait. -lobster bisque was good, very rich, enjoyed this -blue crab and shrimp fritters fine. like a spongy meatball. Not bad. -crispy fish tacos not good, fish was like a fish stick you'd pull out of the freezer. skip this one
Everything was wonderful, food and our server Delvon was wonderful. The 4 stars are because they couldn't seat our party in better seats. Everyone enjoyed their meals and my steak was cooked correctly! The pineapple mojito was nice! The calamari was perfectly fried and lightly breaded, I would have rather had the sauce on the side to keep it crispy but it was still good. It was my second visit to the Coastal Flat and I wasn?t disappointed. The visit was many years ago and wasn?t memorable. The bread basket was hot donuts which I always enjoyed at the Great American Restaurants chains. We started off with baby crab slider. While it was good, in my taste it was too heavily seasoned. I order Pecan crusted trout based on reviews here and I wasn?t disappointed. Shrimp with grit was very good except we found it a bit heavy.
The food was amazing! The atmosphere was great, even in the busy mall, and the service was excellent! Our waiter Noel was fantastic from start to finish. We ordered the crab appetizer, drunken ribeye, bread rolls, Caesar salad, mashed potatoes, and white sangria. Every bite and sip was delicious and memorable. Although I live far from Tysons, I will definitely make a point to stop by for dinner whenever I visit.
