Coconut Thai Restaurant

Decided to stop for lunch at Coconut Thai Restaurant.Service was slow, seems they prioritize takeout. Kept with the lunch combos available daily from 10:30am 3:30pm). Medium spicy was closer to mild. Red curry L1) $13.45) rice scoop was small. Spring roll was thick, only cabbage for filling. Soup was homey but a touch salty. Red curry was decent. Not much pork, mostly bamboo shoots. Pad thai L10) $13.45) sauce was slightly sweet. Bean sprouts were raw. Surprisingly, a good portion of noodles.Standard, typical Thai fare.

We've been to Thailand and they have THE BEST Tom Kha Gai soup ever! Have been eating there for years and we have not had one bad experience. Anyone we take there is amazed at the flavours! Small and family run, food made with love! The curry's are delicious with the massaman being one of our favourites, the beef is always falling apart and sooooo tasty. We always get enough for leftovers! This is the one restaurant in town that we CRAVE! You won't be disappointed if you love Thai flavours!

Amazing! My partner and I have travelled to Thailand many times. We even took a cooking class together but we've never dou d a Thai restaurant that came close to the food in Thailand, until we came here. The Penang Curry was heavenly! It was exactly how it is from Chiang Mai, where we had that cooking class. Great service, great food.. The chicken satat was also very good. Excellent! And so was the pad Thai.

when i was at coconut thai, i had the tum-yum soup, the spring rolls, and the coconut thai fried rice. All of the dishes were great but the rice was definiteley my favorite! it had a nice variety of textures. the soup is great if you want to try something new and exotic. and the spring rolls were good but basic. they needed the plum sause but over all were good. Do recommend.

Highly recommend this out of the way gem!This place is better than the more than thirty Thai places I have been to in big cities all around the rest of North America and the UK. I will try to stop here anytime I am near. My dinner companion has been coming here for years and it's been consistently wonderful.I loved the pad thai and the thai iced tea.

My first time for lunch..Food was delicious, well prepared and tasty ,only problem is portions are small.The spice was mild as i asked the drink was served with ice, great touch .All in all nice place if I am around again at lunch i will return.Worth look for off Vedder Road

For a “hole in the wall” type of establishment it never disappoints. Family run (kids in the front, parents in the kitchen). Reasonably priced. Green curry is one of the best in BC, maybe in Canada. Nothing fancy, but yummy!
