I want to congratulate the new owners! I dined there last night with some great friends, and the restaurant was packed with locals. You can always tell a place is good when the locals are there. The fried pickles were outstanding! I ordered the special steak and two lobster tails, and both were cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. The service was quick and attentive. There was live music, but it was at a perfect volume, allowing us to enjoy both our dinner and the entertainment. Overall, everything was excellent. We’ll definitely be back to join the locals!
Maybe change the hours that you have posted online, drove there on a Sunday thinking you were open until midnight. As we pulled in at 10:30, the door was open, lights on and people were inside. While we were parking someone ran up to the door, locked up, shut all the signs off, and ignored us when we tugged on the door instead of being courteous enough to explain why. Not a good way to treat potential customers that would have understood if they were at least acknowledged.
I've dined here several times for dinner and a couple of beers, and I've never had a bad experience. The fishermen's table was amazing, and even the salmon salad was fantastic. I've tried a bit of everything, and it's always been delicious. The beer is always served cold, and the service is consistently excellent.
First of all, the place was completely packed due to a private party that had booked the entire restaurant! To top it off, the bartender had to send a guest from the bar to serve us our appetizer. Seriously?
