Food was an absolute, over priced &, over cooked what a joke. As a chef myself I would be embarrassed to serve what was dished up to me tonight and still call myself a chef. Entree (special) Scollops with prosciutto & rockmelon salsa - scollops had been grilled for that long they had shrivelled up to the size of peas. Were tasteless and rubbery. Very quiet venue for a Saturday night. Good wine selection, service was OK, but in saying that they were not busy only two other tables of diners. I ordered the fish for my main, we skipped entrees as they were pretty basic. The batter on the fish was a big let down as everything else was good. The minted peas really packed a flavour punch to the soggy battered fish. I sort of picked my way around the batter on the three small morsels of fish. My side of zucchini was tasty & plentiful to make up for the lack of fish though! Partner ordered the steak which he said wasn't cooked how he ordered it plus it looked very solitary on the plate with just two small tomatoes & a lemon wedge
I found cook a few months ago and was immediately very impressed with the quality of the food. Every time I eat there the meals are always prepared quickly and taste fantastic. I can proudly say I have tried every item on the menu and enjoyed them all.The staff are also really friendly and always go above and beyond to ensure you have a good dining experience.All in all this is a hidden gem, if you're staying at the Mantra on Queen definitely try dinner there, and even if you aren't definitely give it a go.
First time in Cook & Co. We ordered the Ribs (mixed - pork, beef and lamb). Ribs are on sizzling plate but the ribs are not hot. Doesn't taste good. It seems that the chef only used soy sauce and pepper. Meat are very tough and full of fats. We complained about it but the restaurant supervisor told us that the chef said that it is normal - TOUGH & FATTY is normal??? $29 per plate. Just the meat, no side dish or chips. It's not worth it. No wonder why only 2 tables are occupied. Definitely not coming back.

Terrible service, waited nearly 10 mins for someone to come to the counter and seat us with no more than two tables already seated. Reasonable menu however very slow too cook! When our food did arrive after more than 40 mins (still only 2 other tables in the restaurant, who had eaten) we found our steaks to be pre-cut?!? and luke warm, the fries were fresh though. Wine list was short but had some great wines. Service remained mediocre the rest of the evening.
The meals were good. The ribs were nice and the sweet potato chips were so yummy! The service was lacking a little. I could have done with a bottle of water on the table rather than waiting for someone to fill it up (it never happened so I stole my husbands water). Other than that the staff were nice and the meals were yummy.
Had lunch here with three work colleagues today and the food was great, service was excellent and portion sizes worthwhile. We got the $20 deal with a beer and this was good value considering what we received. We will be back.
Just about to hit the half hour wait time on a sandwich and burger. There are maybe 15 people here. Unless this sandwich tastes like the body of Christ I'm probably never coming back.

Stayed at the Mantra for two nights and wish we had eaten here both nights. The ribs were amazing and the service impeccable. Next trip we'll eat here again!
The staff were really great. Not too fussy but paying attention. The food was good ..not great but definitely very good.
