I've been to this hotel several times and most recently we had lunch here last Sunday. It's in a great location and does cater well to young children, the outdoor playground is very popular and keeps the kiddies happy. The food can be quite good although inconsistent as the same meal can be great one time and then the next time average quality. Two of the ladies I was with ordered a Calamari Salad, the first one came out with calamari and a tiny side salad and a dish of mayo, it definitely wasn't a salad. The Coomera Lodge Hotel offers country charm, just minutes off the highway. We have been for dinner previously and been very impressed. Especially with the specials menu and kids eat free on Sundays. We went here for a usual family get together and we're extremely disappointed to learn the changes to the menu didn't include specials or kids eat free. Prices are quite expensive for a pub a little far out to travel to. This is a shame as it is very family friendly. Would only go back for maybe an afternoon drink but not for dinner.
Have been coming to this pub for over 9 years and used to thoroughly enjoy our pub meals and the experience. The last 3 months it has gone down hill. The new menu is over priced and the "share" plates are ridiculous.. this calamari was $13 and paid $14 for 4 chicken wings!! Would never come back here for dinner again and i used to come once or twice a week! So thats saying something.. so unfortunate and disappointing

This is a great pub not too far from the hustle and bustle of the Gold Coast but you will feel miles away. Beer garden overlooking the Coomera River is fantastic place to chill out with a beer. Food is reasonable price although meals can be quite small. Would recommend to those looking to have a quiet relaxing drink in a country style setting.
We had a lovely family gathering on Fathers Day at the Coomera Lodge. It was pretty busy & we had to wait a while but it was worth it. The meals were huge, very good value. Also we were able to get gluten free chips with out steak....(most chips are coated with wheat these days). It was a lovely setting overlooking the Coomera River too.
I have a favourite at this place, crumbed chicken with a French topper. Was always a win but lately it's been disappointing. Chicken either over cooked or not cooked enough and the chips I ordered on the weekend were brown, cold and terrible! Couldn't believe they even dished it up !
We have been here in large groups and small groups, overall great service and meals are fantastic, outdoor area is great in warmer months, love being near the fireplace inside in winter, great little spot. Great outside for those with young children.

Good sized playground for the kids, generally friendly service each time we visit. Food mostly good, had a hit and miss with steak being cooked as tough as boots when asked for medium-rare but got replaced in a timely manner.
New chef in town and the place is finally back to what it was a few years ago AWESOME. Great meals. For a Coles corporate pub they haven't screwed it up by trying to make it ultra modern. All round great laid back place
