Visiting the area and had seen many reviews about this wonder cafe. After a great walk you need a hearty meal. Can’t think of a better place to find that. A soup and sandwich special was on offer at £5.95. The soup was homemade vegetable and I chose a cheddar sandwich. Service was swift and friendly. I wanted hearty and that’s exactly what I got. Soup was undoubtedly full of vegetables and the sandwich freshly made and full.. Coffee was good and re filled without having to asking. Cakes were looking amazing all homemade. I had to plump for the caramel cheesecake which was superb. I’ll be back. I highly recommend the Coppice Café.

After visiting the falls stopped off for a coffee and cake. The cakes all looked wonderful and the ones we tried were delicious. It was towards the end of the day and the staff were very pleasant and friendly. Others came in afterwards and did moan a bit as they were said they were shut, looking at us as we enjoyed our drinks and food. Like all places the staff need to go to their homes and also need time to clean and tidy the premises before leaving. Think some people’s attitudes don’t recognise this. If you intend to enjoy the wonderful food of this place ensure you don’t leave it late in the day.
used this as a quick stop off. Ordered coffees but didn’t have anything to eat. No menu on the table just a board on the counter with limited amount of food on it. Cakes were on display but as it was near the end of the day the choice was limited. Welcome was friendly. My one negative was that we had to wait quite a while to get two coffees, nothing fancy just two ordinary coffees, and when they arrived that had a chocolate dusting on the top which unfortunately didn’t compliment the coffee. The price was a tad expensive as well. £5.85 for two coffees
I’m not sure if this place has changed hands but the sandwiches were terrible. We ordered a cheese sandwich and a Wensleydale sandwich with soup for £12. The soup was good if not a little too salty but the sandwiches were something you would eat for school dinner. Cheap white sliced bread over filled with grated cheese, there wasn’t even any chutney for the Wensleydale one. The bread choice was either white or brown so I’m assuming both were sliced and there was no option of a roll. The scones did look good but we didn’t get one. Réservez une table maintenant
After a long walk around Aysgarth and Carperby was ready for a drink very welcoming at entrance to cafe as allowed dogs to go inside even though we sat outside. Customer service was excellent as staff brought order out to outside table. Fabulous large fruit scones with butter and jam. The food aromas whilst at the counter was delightful will be going back for a full meal later. Outside seating area was delightful with local bird wildlife. Quite busy being midweek with all age groups
Went to Aysgarth to do the waterfall walk Stopped at the Copice Cafe for refreshments spotted what we thought was flavoured ice cream... oh no... they make their own Home-Made (to their own proper Italian recipe) Gelato! Cone or tub; I had Caramel Panna...
Just about one of the best lunches ever. Lovely home made soup with wensleydale cheese. Lovely crusty warm sun dried tomato bread. Little jug of cream to pour in your soup. Amazing and delicious.
Handily placed in the visitor centre just above the middle falls, this is a small cafe doing great cakes and well prepared coffee. Other drinks, snacks and ice creams were also on offer. Réservez une table maintenant
Had lunch here, was warm and cosy on a cold day. The sausage sandwiches were great, tomato soup a little spicy. Staff were really helpful.
Gorgeous food, excellent service and really friendly happy staff. Hope to return next time we are on the area.
