Danfe Himal - Réservation de table

Tried this restaurant for the first time on a Saturday night. It's a small restaurant and with.no booking we were quickly shown to a table. Waitress service was friendly and quite fast although she was very busy with takeaway orders. We then waited at least 40 minutes for our entree and another long wait for the main curries, rice and accompaniments. The food was outstanding, easily some of the best Indian food we have tasted - and we have visited many Indian/Nepalese restaurants in Australia and overseas. Perhaps the kitchen was busy with takeaway orders, but the long wait for our meals was disappointing. Food is definitely a 5 rating but the slow kitchen service pulled the rating down to a...

First visit to Danfe Himal which apart from our table of four had one additional diner for the evening.Small restaurant with small tables.Food Nepalese/North Indian and staff efficient,polite and knowledgable.We shared entrees of Chilli Momos and Samosas both very good indeed.Mains[again shared]were Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Rogan Josh.Whilst the Chicken was good the Rogan Josh was a stand out,tender meat beautiful sauce.We also had two Naans and rice.The serves were large and the whole meal was great value.I think this is a very good restaurant and will certainly be back.

This is a new place - where the Rasol used to be. I only had a take away, so no comments on the atmosphere. I ordered by phone, and the food was ready at the time I was told it would be ready. All the staff are Nepalese, as is the cook. Food is a good selection of North Indian and Nepalese dishes. I tried the Saag ra Paneer and the Eggplant Massala (both are vegetarian). Both dishes were tasty and mildly spicy and the portions were generous. Staff were very friendly and told me they could also customise dishes. I will definitely go back and try the Nepali goat curry.

Our second visit to this restaurant.Again very small space serving North Indian and Nepali food.Restaurant half full,family run and service warm,caring and attentive.Food up to usual high standard.We shared entrees of steamed chilli Momo,Samosas and mains were Butter Chicken and Lamb Rogan Josh accompanied by Raita,rice and Naans.The sauces with the chicken and lamb were superb.I think this restaurant deserves to be better patronized however lack of space and small tables[particularly tables of 4] does not help its cause. We ordered in this place take away dinner and then decided to visit restaurant with all our family of 7 (3 kids).1. Everything was really tasty.2. The portions for eat in were TWICE smaller than take away. And the charge (copay) for eat in was completely unreasonable for this amount of food. Sometimes I'd like to ask waiter to exchange the forks and knives and bring pipettes to use the food as eyedrops, so small were the portions. The total bill was around $130 TAKE AWAY ONLY

With only 3 tables occupied, our table of 3 waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for one entree, and another 20 minutes for mains. Poor service. Food very salty. We then asked to take the food home as takeaway as we weren't feeling hungry after waiting for so long. At home realised they put very small amounts of the food in containers with different compartments. Waste of time, waste of money. Can't recommend this place.

Came here with my husband 2 weeks ago and just had takeaway tonight. I can't rate this restaurant high enough. The food is outstanding, generous and very tasty. Very similar to Indian but Just that little bit better than any of the Indian restaurants in our area. The decor is basic and it's not a big place. Staff are very friendly and polite.

We visited on a busy Saturday night with friends, five in total. The restaurant is very small so was quite noisy but still ok. The food is delicious and the serves are quite generous. We started with Steamed Momo and Samosas. I would go back just for the Momo! We will definitely return. Réservez une table maintenant

We stopped into Oasis for lunch after a meeting in town because we were told that they had the best steak in townI ordered the steak sandwich.
