We were staying near this restaurant while skiing. We booked our table for five, in the morning. When we arrived at 7.30 they had no record of our booking but found us a table without difficulty. The menus arrived and we chose a three course set menu. Having worked out our choices we were told that that particular menu was not being cooked that night! So we started again. The hot courses arrived with cloches over them, unfortunately one of them had not been washed and the soup had gravy around the edge of the plate. One of our party was a vegetarian, but there was no vegetarian option so she just got a plate of vegetables! The duck was pink and quite tasty with a few potatoes and vegetables. Pudding was mediocre. The service was fine, but we had spoons and forks laid for pudding after we had already had the pudding. The waiters also removed the doilies in front of each dinner with a spoon and fork. There was a single swing door between the restaurant and kitchen so on at least two occasions waiters clashed and plates crashed to the ground! There is little to recommend this expensive, pretentious and mediocre food restaurant.

I do not enjoy ski stations which look like touristic industries. The Auberge is located in the heart of authentic village, close to all shops. The atmosphere , the decoration in this old building is timeless. The room are adequate, every single meal is superb and the service is friendly and very efficient. We really appreciated the meals served in a beautiful dining room with an open fire. Specific award is given for the fantastic cheese plate associated with the large choice of wines that you can not find easily in other places.

Madame, the owner, is gracious and graceful and tends to her Inn as an artist who loves her craft. Everything about our stay was pleasing, especially the comfortable bed, the generously sized room and the extremely delicious dinner.....but even more, we will forever remember and cherish our delightful chats with Madame and her staff who made us feel most welcome and at home . Merci Beaucoup! Stayed June 2015, traveled as a couple 5 of 5 stars Value 5 of 5 stars Sleep Quality 5 of 5 stars Service

I have been meaning to try this restaurant for a long time and what a disappointment it was. Firstly, we were the only table so the atmosphere was non existent and the decor needs to be freshen up. More importantly, the food... i can see that they are trying to use local food and make it more elegant but it simply doesn't work. I can cook better food myself! A real shame for a 4-star establishment and i can't believe the number of awards they have supposedly won!! Will not go again.
