Have to change my past review because I'm bummed by the recent changes. Our group of 6-8 people were frequent Wednesday night trivia attendees (almost weekly for the last 2 years), but they've gotten rid of the house food menu, leaving the Pita Post as the only dining option. Unfortunately this means waiting in long lines outside to get food, rather than table service. Additionally, pita post only has 3-4 menu items, and as someone who isn't a big fan of Middle Eastern food, eating a piece of pita bread and an order of french fries as my only dinner option every week gets old fast. I would honestly support having a food truck as the only food option, if there was even a little bit of variety...
A few weeks ago, our company hosted an Employee Appreciation Event at Detroit Fleat, and I can't say enough positive things about the experience! Katie, one of the owners, was incredibly responsive and patient with all my questions throughout the planning process. The venue itself is beautiful, offering plenty of indoor and outdoor space, along with on-site games to keep everyone entertained. I truly appreciated Katie's willingness to collaborate to create an event that fit our budget. After seeing Chanel's tiktok review my family and I decided to visit after our church service. Our first server acted as if she barely wanted to have our table. Once we placed our order on the app as instructed it took way to long to receive our food (burgers and fries) with only two other parties being at the restaurant, they weren't busy. We were given the excuse from a different server that the cheese was being melted on the burgers?. My husband was ready to leave but we gave them few more minutes to receive average tasting food. We definitely will not be returning.
Our first time here, Detroit Fleat didn’t disappoint! We were seated outside promptly, served ice water and menus to browse. (The outside area is fantastic, with plenty of seating and even cornhole boards) We ordered an IPA, chicken sliders, and the nachos. The food was served promptly and hot. The nachos were excellent with plenty of flavor, the chicken sliders with slaw hit the spot. If you’re in the area, give the Fleat a chance, it was great!

Regarding vegetarian options, the food truck offers several vegetarian and vegan dishes on Wednesdays, including falafel and cucumber pita. As for kid-friendliness, we noticed a number of families with young children during happy hour. It's a bit noisy, but overall, it seemed lively.
As for accessibility, there didn't appear to be any barriers for wheelchairs—no steps or stairs, and very few doorjambs to navigate.
My husband and I stopped in for the first time. Everyone was kind and Brynn was amazing. She gave great recommendations and helped us feel like regulars. The fish tacos and lemon pepper fries were next level. We’ll definitely be back! Vegetarian options: Vegan and vegetarian options which was refreshing. Parking: Plenty of parking.
Haven't been here since before pandemic era. They've done a great job expanding the patio experience for the summer months. Nice area for kiddos to play and stay busy, and plenty room to reserve private areas for small and large gatherings
I used to love this place but it’s a sad shell of what it once was. Food trucks barely come here anymore. They can hardly call this a food truck park at this point. Bring back the days of 2 or 3 trucks there all the time.

Aside from the decorations and atmosphere, I found the food to be quite basic. Our waitress wasn't very informative about the best options on the menu, and the burger I ordered was tasteless. I won't be returning.
Absolutely one of my favorite places to eat. Wonderful staff and excellent food. Can't go wrong. Definitely get their bang bang shrimp tacos.
