On the hottest day of the year, we sat down for lunch at Forelles, a restaurant located in a spacious winter garden. Despite the heat, the many open windows and doors kept us cool. This was our first visit to Forelles, spurred by glowing recommendations from friends. Surprisingly, we were the only patrons for most of our meal, perhaps due to the scorching 35-degree weather. I recently booked a bistro lunch at this restaurant for my friend's 60th birthday and was disappointed by the room and ambiance, despite being in such a beautiful building. The Formica tables did not contribute to the overall look of the place. The service was extremely slow and I had to search for the waitress twice between courses. However, the food itself was excellent and we enjoyed a wonderful three-course menu. A coworker assisted me in helping my friend with Parkinson's in and out of the building, which was very helpful. The food and service were excellent as always. What I do object to is receiving an email the day before my visit having already received a reminder stating A response is required for you booking at Dining@FishmoreHall, and threatening to cancel the booking if I do not respond. I was out all day and happened to check my messages in the evening. The whole tone of the email is inappropriate and offputting, and would make me think twice about booking in the future. This is not okay.

Lovely Sunday lunch with our dog, beautifully presented. 2 super waiters to which we left £20 aswell as the one attached to the bill so I hope they got it, not the spectacled-balding guy who went into the bistro as soon as we walked out. All of the staff were attentive and friendly. We would definitely recommend and return. Thank you.
We love Fishmore and often go for midweek lunch. Today we went for a Sunday Roast lunch as it was Fathers Day). We were not disappointed, the food was very tasty and extremely well presented, the staff as usual were very efficient and friendly. It’s just a lovely place.

I highly recommend this pleasant hotel for its excellent afternoon tea that offers a refreshing twist on the traditional menu. The service is friendly and top-notch.
