Fabulous combination of upscale dining with a neighborhood friendly ambience. We were a party of four that booked Divan for a birthday celebration and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and the overall dining experience. We were met and seated by a friendly maître d ' and served by a friendly and engaged server. We ordered the grilled octopus and the Kashke Bademjan (Eggplant and Whey Dip as well as fresh bread. Our entrees included the Kabob Borsch, Lamb Chops, and Chicken Barg. All of the entrees were delicious and the presentation was fantastic, but our table rated the the Kabob Torsch and the Lamb Chops as Exceptional and the Chicken Barg as Really Good . the eating was amazing! portions were big and everything was cooked to perfection! we have the lamb and the trout- highly recommended. the only feedback would be to turn off the music for the evening meal. they have very high ceilings and with a full restaurant and the music we couldn't even talk to each other. our waiter was super “Cyrus” and he turned it city. we go back on a weekday!
As for the timing of the meal, the appetizers arrived, but before we had finished, the main courses were served. It felt as though the staff could benefit from a lesson in proper timing.
The noise level in the restaurant was quite high, and the arrangement of tables and chairs didn’t seem to fit the space well, making it uncomfortable to dine.
The waitstaff and host were very attentive. The food was great. The restaurant was attractive. The appetizers entrees were delicious. The desserts were fine, but not remarkable which wasn’t a problem because I was stuffed from the dinner. Would definitely go again.

Outstanding restaurant! The food was delicious and the portion sizes were generous. The house wines are not only affordable but also quite flavorful. The service is attentive and personalized. Definitely worth a visit!
I finally discovered a Persian restaurant that offers more than just kabobs. They have incredible seafood dishes and a variety of entrees alongside their kabob selections.
first visit – loved the grilled otopus appetizer, the lamb, and the dee fessenjen. the baklava for dessert was good, but the cream puffs did not have much taste.
divan had a really nice ambiente, the server was nice, but eating was mediocre. ordered the filet kebab, but it came like a flat steak that was not very spiced
