Being a 1st timer to San Francisco I talked to a local about some places to go within walking distance. He mentioned the Dog Patch Saloon was a casual, friendly and reasonable establishment with nice restaurants in the area. It was everything he said it was, I'm not a big city person but I loved it...

I haven't been there in a looong time since prior the remodel, but the Dogpatch Saloon has to be one of my favorite bars in the Dogpatch, the beer selection is great. I used to come there to have a beer and chat with Will : such a chill bar to have a beer!
