It's now called Matt Mo's Italian Beef but the sign still says Doug's. OMG! Just like my favorite Chicago Italian beef place!!!! I ordered 2 combo's dipped. It was a sloppy heavenly sandwich that tasted like authentic Italian beef and sausage (combo) I grew up with. Was about $15 per sandwich and worth every single penny. It's enough for two people, but why share? With flavors that good, you'll wish you ordered your own...or even another one to go! I did. I've been looking for an authentic Italian beef place since I loved to Detroit in 1980. I've finally found it. The shoestring fries are also worth the $5, so get some of those, too. I'll definitely be back! Try them, they are superb.
We made a stop here on the way to the airport for a quick hotdog and ice cream. The hot dogs are tasty and the ice cream was creamy and delicious. My hubby got an ice cream sandwich with moose track ice cream, and I got a brownie Dougie (basically a blizzard). They were HUGE. I shared mine with my son, and we couldn't finish it. Should have done one ice cream item between the 3 of us. I do wish the brownie pieces had been cut up much smaller before being mixed into the Dougie, as it was hard to break bite sized pieces off.

Second That Chicago dog is delicious. Else, well It juicing. Better than portillos on Utica My opinion again U be the judge 3rd, the chili dog was on point Not some cheap hotdog. Matt, Your restaurant was a great surprise!!! Folks, if you’re from Chicago and need a taste of home then this is your place!!! Wow!!! The Italian beef is outstanding!!!
