Tucked away in the corner beside the Mitcham train station is this unassuming restaurant that serves big and bold dishes. The service was impeccable from start to finish. Dirty plates were swapped with fresh clean ones, the teapot was always refreshed and children were accommodated with no fuss. The food itself was amazing. The crab was fresh, fragrant and had loads of flavor and a generous portion of noodles (served with a touch of drama : , the crocodile was surprisingly good (we ordered it as a novelty, but it was not chewy and did not taste gamey and the chillies and spices lifted the dish . Recommended by a good friend. This place didn’t disappoint me. We booked thru Zomato online and a lady called me back almost immediately to confirm the table. We ordered few dishes to try out non of them disappoint me, delicious !! At the end of the meal, they even complimented each of us a bowl of Chinese dessert. I don’t quite like the taste but I’m happy that they have their customers in their mind !! Not many restaurants are practicing this but I’m truly happy to dine here.
The food here is generally decent, but their roasted crispy pork trotter is TO DIE FOR. Super crunchy and flavourful on a bed of sweet and sour pickled veggies, I could probably finish it by myself if my family would let me. Given that it's a special high-demand dish though, I believe you have to order it in advance before showing up (and it might only be available on certain days). 100% worth waiting for though. Organised a birthday lunch for 30pax.Everything went smoothly, food was fantastic based on feedback from all attendees, service was prompt and friendly.Reasonably priced and all well taken care of. This is my 1st time back under a new ownership.I have patronised here with each change of ownership(3rd now) but I must say the food is still very yummy. Thanks for accommodating such a crowd today. I had a great dining experience with delicious food that I thoroughly enjoyed. I highly recommend trying the pig knuckle/feet—it's crispy and tender. While the decor and service were average, the food definitely earns a solid 4 out of 5. I would definitely visit again! Just a heads-up: the bill can increase significantly if you choose seafood.
The best Chinese takeaway in the area! The vegetables retain their crunch, unlike at some other places where they tend to be overcooked. It’s a bit pricier, but the quality makes it worth it. However, the quail is dry and lacks spiciness. Additionally, they often forget to include the fresh chillies and chili sauce that I request.
