Empress Of India - Réservation de table

The food was vary good. I've now tried several of their dishes and everything was vary nicely made and presented. My absolute favorite has to be the lamb korma! Unfortunately I didn't take a pic of that but these are 2 other dishes we had ordered and they were great as well.The staff were friendly but the issue I found was the service was vary slow, starting from just being noticed for seating. I've been twice now, once when it was much quieter and again when it was more busy and neither situation changed the speed to which the service was given.

Service was exceptional. The first question from the waitress was, “Why are you here?” Lol. We didn’t even bother to order after the service we got. End of the day, the Empress Of India is for passers-by to wash their hands or use the washroom. I feel so SORRY for writing this review since it may affect your business, but do check with the employees and train them on minimum courtesy with service ethics or change the team altogether. (Not mentioning the date since it may affect the employees).

Its been over 80 years since India had an Empress and I think there's a good reason for it.When I first moved to the city, Empress of India was one of the first Indian restaurants I ordered from. This was in 2018 and I remember thinking how OILY the food was and not tasty at all. 5 years later nothing has chnaged. The food is extremely oily and it doesn't taste any good. Would 100% avoid ordering from here again.

We're from Gatineau, Qc (Ottawa) and been to many India restaurants. What a great experience for both of us. Service is super fast, efficient, with courtesy. THE FOOD IS AMAZINGLY EXCELLENT. The ambiance is quite relax with background music not too loud. Too bad we are not from the neiborhood!!! The Empress of India is a MUST. Mark my words and try their food. You won't regret it. Servers has very rude behaviour. I came today at night . I asked them to wait as we were deciding the orders. Her expressions was so bad. Genuinely speaking , i will never ever visit next time. I didnot recognize her face properly but yes she is chubby with small hairs. Smiling expressions are more

They really need to stop asking for tips/ gratuity when I come in person or call, then order a takeout. Your establishment sells food. The price on the menu should cover that. There is no service involved, so stop asking for tips on takeout orders.P.S. food is excellent.

Extremely disappointed about how the rabdi turned out it had fungus on it and had pungent smell. Kindly check expiry before you send out to customer for online order .as you might be knowing the queue in hospitals .thank god for not suffering from food poisoning.

I had dine in here many times the service and food is very good. The staff members are really very friendly and welcoming here. Highly recommended if you want to spend quality time. Réservez une table maintenant

Stale food and not good in taste. Naan was so chubby and thick it seems they are selling ready made naan. I don’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The lamb biriyani is spicy but great flavors and good portion size.The naan and malai kofta is as good as it gets.
