Era 67 Restaurant & Lounge

This 'used' to be a terrific steakhouse and arguably the best restaurant in Orillia. That was until the ownership changed. Although the service is still very good, clearly the food is not. Some observations, the prices are still quite high for Orillia (all in $60-$70 per head with drinks and appetizers, no desserts). I started with the shrimp cocktail appetizer described on the menu accompanied by a Caesar dipping cocktail sauce. Actual: Frozen thawed shrimp and the sauce was a noxious red liquid in a cup that caused me to ask the server whether this was a potable soup or sauce. Yuk. The original Era 67 used to serve a lovely selection of breads with various types of butter, always excellent...

Although I've heard some great things about Era, I've been two for two on visits with issues. Went with a group of friends for the "Flavours" events and they were out of the dishes we most wanted. It wasn't late in the day and there was really no explanation given. The second time we visited, it was very weird, but the waitress "lost" our order. I know she was new, but after we sat for 45 minutes after ordering, and had no food, we questioned her. Patient weren't we? She was flustered, and apologetic, but explained her error and put a rush on our food. In the end we sat for over an hour with no food. We were offered discount coupons for dessert on our next visit... Which we left on the table...

We stopped by after a long day wondering around town and after attending a local crafts show and sale. We ordered drinks, an appetizer, the prime rib and a mushroom pasta dish. The food arrived at out table hot and very flavourful. This restaurant is a popular place for travellers going to the local casino. If you are planning to eat here arrive early due the fact your meal is made to order. Allow two hours for your meal time so you aren't late for your show at the casino. All in all it was a good time. Looking forward to coming back in the fall.

Era 67 is a high end restaurant in the heart of downtown Orillia. Era 67 tried to make our visit as perfect as possible. They made sure that our table was satisfactory. Our waitress was so friendly and made sure we had enough time to get over to the casino for our show on a Saturday night. Our dinners were excellent and we felt comfortable in the care of Era 67. Our brief concern was handled professionally and completely in a way that we admired the management commitment to customer satisfaction. Highly recommended!!

We went to Era 67 unexpectedly but were seated immediately without reservations. Restaurant was participating in Barrielicious. $30 for 3 courses. My friend and I had the PEI mussels, tenderloin, blackened halibut. Dessert was a chocolate torte and butter tart. All the food was amazing. Service was attentive with the waiter being friendly and conscientious. Definitely recommend Era 67 and looking forward to my next visit there!

Had dinner here with another couple before seeing Australian Pink Floyd which was awesome. The food was great,we had the ribs and baked Brie. A couple was playing nice dinner music at the entrance which added to the great atmosphere. Holly was our waitress she was pleasant, attentive and sincere. We live in Barrie and we will be back. Great place book with confidence in having a great dinner.

Stopped for soup and sandwich lunch and had lunch inside. The outside of the restaurant looked quite grubby, so we decided to eat inside, and the inside is much cleaner until you look at the carpet, and that is gross. They should want customers to remember how good their food is (and it was) not how much they need someone to come in to do the cleaning. The service was super

A group of us had a delicious lunch. All were very pleased with their meals. I had the steak sandwich which was served hot and was delicious! The waiter was friendly and did not hesitate to tell you which were the best dishes...he was right.

The food was very good. Looked good and tasted even better. Very creative. I had the Rainbow Trout and it did not disappoint me. We shared baked brie for an appetizer.
