Essig's - Réserver une table

Surprise from my wife, we wanted to go for long but because of their opening hours and it is very hard to book a table we didn't manage. but finally we got a table!Food was delicious, finally a gastronomic restaurant in Linz! They are innovative, dishes are what we looked for: light, tasteful, surprising and delicious!Of course the price is higher than average restaurants in Linz but really for what you get it is actually cheap in my opinion!For each dish a different wine suggested by the staff, all was perfect, and at the end of the meal I was surprised by the bill which was lower than expected...Very friendly people with owner also serving and greeting the guests.I recommend!

The occasion was a business lunch with a customer, 4 people overall, on the restaurant terrace in the warm and sunny september weather. The food was great, the service very attentive, the restaurant quite busy with all tables on the terrace full.The food was very tasty - we all had different entrées and main courses, and everybody was completely happy. What else is worth mentioning? Free parking right in front of the door, and spotlessly clean restrooms with flowers, scented perfume sticks etc etc. This place has got class.€220 including tip for 8 dishes plus water plus fruit cocktails plus coffee (and no alcohol) is no budget menu, but it was definitely worth the money.

I have been a regular to the Vogelkaefig. Last year family Essig opened their new restaurant Essigs.Finally upon my return to Linz, I managed to get to Essigs. It was fantastic as always. The food - salad of hers with smoked duck, rinderfilet rossini, cheese to finish the meal - were EXCELLENT. I liked the ambiance of the restaurant. Service is charming, and efficient. The way it should be, invisible but there when you need them. Keep it up!!Unlike other raters, I personally do not have a challenge with the opening hours.

Essig means vinegar and food was just perfect.Restaurant was full, but we were guided to upstairs to a long dining table.Apparently, upstairs is for gourmet lessons.So, it says it all, a restaurant that gives gourmet cooking.From main course to dessert was spot on.Signature dish from main course to dessert with presentable tableware.Deco was not too much but just enough.Definitely will hope to have another meal on my next visit.

the whole place was cramped but the service managed to stay friendly and the food kept coming hot and fresh and very good. - will go back and try on a regular night.
