We visited as a family of 3 on a Saturday night hoping to get some waffles. We ordered three waffles each with two scoops of gelato. The gelato was lovely good amount of variety sadly no coffee flavours. The waffles on the other hand were pretty dreadful. As this is a dessert restaurant you would expect freshly made waffles especially as they cost £8 each however the waffles were the small square ones you buy in a multipack that you warm in a toaster or microwave. What then happened was as soon as the cold ice cream was placed on top, the waffle became hard and crispy. You could only hack through it with a knife. Turned up on a hot busy day. The staff were all working extremely hard and were polite and friendly. The range of Gelato flavours was amazing. I tried their famous Henry Hippo with twister. Both blew my mind at how they tasted like the real thing. Portion size and price was what I'd expect to pay as it's all hand made by them. This is the best Gelato I've come across in Europe. Excited to go back to try some more flavours. Surly staff, portions given depend on whether they like the look of your face and hugely over priced. Tables need wiping and the staff attitude overall dismissive and rude. Stumbled across this icecream shop after a walk around letchworth. Very high end Gelato and the owners were full of knowledge while chatting to them about all the different flavours they make and creations.
