Went to this bar last night and I was embarrassed to have recommend it. When we arrived at approx the place was quite empty. We placed a couple of orders for snacks and some main orders were also placed. It took over an hour...for the mains to arrive and the food quality was poor. Those that ordered steak complained of excessive salt and after seeing another friend leaving half of her chicken ceasar salad I asked to try it. The piece of chicken that I tried was soggy, tasteless and possibly prefrozen and thawed. Bar only had guy behind it and he was struggling to keep up with the customers that were waiting for service. In this part of town there is so much more competition and the standards...
Farrier is the old stables under the Queens Arms hotel, which have been renovated, extended and renovated again over the past so many years. They have done a good job and it's not over the top, it is what it is. I have been to...many private functions here and works well as this sort of venue as you can tailor the formalities to your desires. As a place to come and hang out with a couple of friends, I would probably advise against it, there is no view, the place is closed in a little, so if you are expecting to bump into someone, then you will have to keep doing laps of the place. The bar is very hard to get a drink if there is more that people there.
We visited the Farrier bar on a Friday afternoon with friends simply to experience a bar that was created in converted underground stables. The bar has been tastefully converted into a modern and comfortable area. The bar staff were helpful and have good product knowledge...of the local craft beer they serve. We only stayed for one drink due to time constraints. However we all agreed it was somewhere we should return to when we had more time to enjoy the atmosphere and great beer.
This place is gorgeous! Whether you dining with the significant other, or friends, it's a great venue. Situated underneath the Queens Arms Hotel, it's decked out in horse and blacksmith nostalgia. Tuesday nights are a must as they have boa- wash that down with...a craft beer and you'll be telling all your friends about this place! Check it out.

Visited with friends and was pleasantly surprised by the venue, the vibe was very cool. The food was delicious, and the bar tenders were happy to make cocktails which were off the menu (provided they had the ingredients). Also decided to have a tequila shot,...which had the most delicious chaser I've ever had! Can't wait to go back!
best place to drink in brisbane!! There were so many whiskeys to choose from, I had no clue where to start! The bartender was generous enough to take the time of letting me taste multiple samples before arriving at my final choice. Will be back!

I went to the Farrier on a Saturday ladies night out. It was terrific. Great variety of dinks. Friendly and helpful staff. There was a function inside so we sat outside which had beautiful candles and ambience. We will be back.

Great place for a quiet drink and late night meal. The waitstaff are very friendly and helpful. The place is perfect on a cool day as the underground cellar bar is quite warm and cosy. A must to visit when in the area!
