First and foremost, they serve excellent chips. Thankfully, their chips are consistently good and perfectly cooked. They also surprisingly make fantastic pizza. I've had pizzas from other fish and chip shops that were nothing more than bland tomato sauce topped with a rubbery cheese-like substance, likely derived from cat’s milk, all served on the worst possible biscuit-like crust. That is definitely not the case here. At First Plaice, the pizza has a great sauce, tasty cheese, and generous toppings, all made on a properly thin crust.
