I used to like the food from Foleys theres nothing that makes it stand out from the next chippy and their portions are on the smaller size, the fish is small and the scallops are almost transparent, I understand the increased prices after the refurbishment but fish is now £6.20 and a large chips is £3.60 since lockdown the price of a fish supper have sky rocketed. We are definitely changing chippies so we çan afford a better quality weekly indulgence, and save a few pennies too.
First off I'm not really a chip shop person, this is probably the second time I've been to one this year (written in October), but this is certainly the best I've been to in Kidderminster. I ordered online using the app which was straightforward and then collected from the separate queue for online ordering without an issue. The food (the 3 of us had fish, a pie, chicken pieces and chips) was all high quality and I have no hesitation in recommending them.
I had a disappointing experience at Foley's Fish. The chips I ordered were the worst I've ever had—undercooked and congealed when I opened the small portion. Their taste didn't improve, and to make matters worse, I found a hair buried in them. We also tried the southern fried potatoes, but sadly, there were bits of the scourer used for cleaning mixed in. Overall, I wasn't impressed with the menu at Foley's Fish.
I've had 6 or 7 visits to Foleys in the last year or so. It's a lot better than my experiences of it during the 2000s! Food is cooked well and whilst the prices might be slightly high I don't begrudge it because each service has been consistent. It's not the best chippy Kidderminster has ever had, but it's certainly up there in its current state. Réservez une table maintenant
We found Foley's last year and have been enjoying outstanding meals there ever since. Their diverse menu and affordable prices really set them apart. We typically order online, and the food is always ready and waiting for us when we get there, accompanied by the friendly service from their fantastic staff.
The bread roll was tough, and the sauce was too thin. The 3-pound bag of chips was more like a children's portion and left my three kids wanting more. I won’t be going back to this restaurant. The staff seemed young and inexperienced, and the prices didn’t match the quality of the food.
Visited at 5.30 for tea, had the regular cod special, which was dry, cod was chewy and yellow, batter was thick with hardly any cod in there, chips were dry, burnt, like they had been reheated. Will never use again.
Surprisingly awful. Miniscule mini fish, dry and over cooked. It should have been described as micro fish. There would be more meat on a minnow. So sad when this used to be a great chippy Réservez une table maintenant
