Been to Forte several times and usually have a good experience. This Friday evening was not the case. We ordered 4 apps, 2 of us received our appetizers while the other 2 did not. Those 2 apps came out approximately 20-30 minutes later. No problem, we know stuff happens. Spoke to manager and waiter about issue so they were aware. Food then came out, 1 of the 4 of us loved the meal, the other 3 of us were a little underwhelmed. We ordered 2 desserts and coffee. Coffee turned gray when I added milk, a clear sign it sat too long in the pot and was old, it tasted how it looked. Management did not consider buying us dessert, the apps that came out late, or maybe even a drink. (Pick 1) In addition...
The cocktails were excellent and so was the bartender. We ordered the hot antipasto for 2 and added a long hot instead of the shrimp as the last time I was there the shrimp tasted like it came right of the freezer. Absolutely no taste..the appetizer was laden in sauce. The only thing good was the calamari! The clams, mushrooms, eggplant and artichoke were tasteless. I 've eaten here before on a Friday. Must be different cooks on off days. Would definitely drink there but not dine there at all..very disappointing..
Had my fiancés birthday party here. The speak easy was perfect. Me myself being a pizzeria owner met both the brothers who own all the Forte’s. They are competition to me. All the years I been in the business the most humble greatest owners I ever met. Such a great family raised by im sure amazing parents. Never been happier being the host of a party. Had a lot left over from the buffet that the workers themselves packed for us to take. If I could give 10 stars I would. Great people.
A women delivery driver with a green Kia soul almost killed my dog delivering food to my building…. I walked out the front door and she sped through my driveway…. Didn’t even apologize, let alone acknowledge my presence, nothing because of this interaction I wouldn’t support this restaurant and I live on prospect Ave. The employees from Picco’s tavern had better hospitality.

We went twice the food was so fine. Excellent mixed drinks, we had four items from the antipasto all were exceptional, homemade pastas were fantastic, raw little neck claims and oysters were outstanding, sea bass with risotto, veal marsala wonderful, great espresso, wonderful Italian ricotta cheesecake. Our waiter Fabio was absolutely first class.
Got Chicken Alfredo and Chicken Marsala , both dishes were very bland, not impressed for what it cost! I’ve had this dish before at this restaurant and I thought it was much better. I will not take my chances again here!
food was excellent service was good. noise level was intolerable. everyone seems to shout to hear each other at their table. To add to it at 9pm lout dj music from bar was heard all over.
The ambience is amazing! The service is great! The drinks are delicious! The food is phenomenal! What more can you ask for? Absolutely nothing!!! This place is PERFECTION!!!

Love the friendly people working the food is excellent first time there on Thursday and we are planning on going back Sunday. My new destination for Italian.
Both the food and drinks were so good! Went there for a graduation party, and will definitely be going back!
