We’ve been semi regulars for a while now and really enjoy Thursday pub quiz night. Staff are very welcoming. However whilst the food served is very good have noticed that portion size has decreased on the last couple of visits, guess it’s a sign of the times. For example I come for lunch every now and then, just order a bowl of delicious homemade soup, but the size of bowl now very small, also used to offer smaller portions of some main meals for lunch etc but no longer. If not for this I would rate 5*. Had the lasagne which was good but could do with either a larger portion or a decent portion of salad on the side not just a couple of leaves. We had been here for a weekday lunch before so thought we’d try the Sunday carvery and we are so glad we did! IT WAS AMAZING!!! Succulent meat (we had the turkey and beef). 6 different choices of veg (all cooked to perfection, especially the turnip/swede mash) and the most mouth watering gravy ever. Stuffing, a selection of sauces and Yorkshire pudding just topped it off a treat. The service was fantastic, plenty of friendly and attentive staff nothing was too much trouble. We would have loved to try a dessert but we were just too full. They are also VERY dog friendly with a dedicated doggie menu. My recent dining experience at The Fox Hounds Pub in Comford was absolutely delightful. The steak special sizzling platter far surpassed my expectations. The atmosphere of the pub was cozy and the staff were friendly. The steak was cooked perfectly and the sizzling platter was bursting with flavor. The dish also came with a nice selection of vegetables, adding a refreshing touch. The portion sizes were generous and the prices were reasonable, providing excellent value. Overall, my experience at The Fox Hounds Pub exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend it to others.
We went to The Fox and Hound for our tea and was greeted by lovely bubbly staff who made us feel welcome from the very start. We all had a main meal and a pudding. The food was exceptional a great meal for our last night in Cornwall. The only bad thing to say is that we didn't find this pub sooner. If you are staying near by or even just passing through, give this place a try, you will not be disappointed.

We had a vey good lunch on the whole apart from the onion gravy on the sausages mash which was a glutinous disaster. The service was excellent and friendly. Having lost points on one meal they gained a shed load of plaudits for serving Fairtrade coffee. Well done! Definitely worth a visit.
The service and food at this restaurant were fantastic. All five of us enjoyed a two-course meal with drinks, and it was perfect from the moment we walked in until we left. Jamie provided excellent and cheerful service. Thank you!
Down on holiday and Went in here after looking at nearby restaurants but decided on here and was glad as service was great and all 5 meals were even better end would recommend to all
Everything about the pub makes it worth a visit excellent friendly service and great food at reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend.

Great food and not so far from home. Met halfway with a friend and enjoyed a lovely lunch and a beer! Love this cosy Cornish pub!
Excellent Cream Tea! Two lovely fresh hot scones each! The staff are very friendly and helpful! Would definitely visit again!
