I have just lived the road of GG for 24 years and never stopped checking it! I love eating in small family owners restaurants and a few weeks ago my mother, daughter, big daughters and I just stopped to see what GG all about...we loved it! I must say that for me evaluation a family restaurant is hard Bcuz I am so picky! I loved the kindness of the waitress and she was proud of what she served I could see that she loved her job! I've been dining here for more than 15 years, and it’s my favorite spot. The staff are incredibly friendly and among the nicest people you'll ever encounter. Without a doubt, this is the best deli food I've found in the area. Their soups are homemade, and the sandwiches are simply outstanding. I recommend it to everyone, and I've never had a reason to complain. If you find yourself in the Milwaukee area and craving something delicious, treat yourself to some of the best food around. And remember, Bone Appetit!
I recently had the pleasure of working with GG for my daughter's wedding, and they did an amazing job. They were punctual, and the food was fantastic. They even packed up all the leftovers on ice, which was a nice touch. Their efficiency was impressive, especially considering they managed everything without a kitchen at our venue! Shannon was a breeze to work with during the planning process; her extensive experience really showed. I would definitely choose GG again for future events!
We were having some very important clients come in for a presentation and were scrambling to find a food to feed them. We decided on GG’s Deli because they were so professional and we knew their food was delicious. Our clients were very impressed by the spread and were thankful to be feed some scrumptious food. This is a lovely, quiet spot for homemade food. I visited just before lunchtime, and the staff was very friendly. They made a custom sandwich for me, and it was fantastic. I highly recommend trying the New England-style clam chowder; the amount of clams in relation to the potatoes was more generous than I usually find. I would definitely return.
I was throwing my parents an anniversary party, and I felt like catering was the way to go. Absolutely loved their food, and I’m always a sucker for a cheese plate. Cheese is my life, and all throughout the party I just kept popping cheese bite after cheese bite in my mouth! Yum!
