This is my family's go to restaurant in The Hill when in St. Louis. Being part Italian (from the NYC metro area) I seek out delicious Italian cuisine, and Gian-Tony's is top notch. The food and service is consistently very good. We started our meal with the Ravioli Tostati, aka Toasted Ravioli. They have to be the best Toasted Ravioli we have ever eaten. Crunchy, but not too crunchy, on the outside, and then on the inside is a meaty filling covered by a soft yet slightly al dente ravioli. We dipped it into a meaty tomato dipping sauce. Then we ordered the Mozzarella Bufala Salad. The tomatoes were firm and meaty, and tasted sweet, and topped with a slice of creamy yet slightly salty Buffalo...

We were told The Hill was the place to get a great meal before a show at The Fabulous Fox Theater. Word of caution, there isn 't much open for dinner on Sunday in this area. The restaurants that were either specifically named to us or we thought looked good online were all closed except Gian-Tony 's. We made an early reservation and the place was nearly empty but within a few minutes it was filled to capacity. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. The food was mediocre. We tried the seafood stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer. The bread provided was nothing special. House ceaser salads before the main course has low quality lettuce, burned croutons, and was heavy on the anchovy in the dre...

The most terrible food ever! The manager was extremely rude and apparently he was also the cook. Strange. The food is not Italian at all. It was tasteless and badly prepared. They offer a dish on special and brought to something else! I told them that this is not what I ordered and they insisted it was. Since it wasn't what I ordered, I left all my food on the plate and they still paid for it! The food was awful too! The first and last time in this place. I'm not explaining. STAY AWAY from IT!!

Delicious food, great service, ample portions and good prices! We had never been there before but we will definitely be back! I don’t normally order red sauce in a restaurant because I make my own and am very fussy about it. Some came with the toasted ravioli appetizer and it was superb! I had linguine con pesce and my husband had the tortellini- both were delicious! The only drawback was that the tables are a little close together and it was noisy. I would definitely recommend this place!

Was excited to try a restaurant on The Hill . When we walked in the host looked shocked to see our group. There were seven of us not sure if that was an issue or not. We were seated outside and our waiter was not friendly at all until then end when we paid. (The waiter for the table next to us seemed very courteous. The food was mediocre. We did want to give The Hill a second chance and went to another restaurant recommended by one of our tour guides.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. As an Italian it is sometimes difficult to find good. Next time I go back to STL I will make it a point to eat a reservation there again. The Canolis were superb, which are made to order instead made eds in advance just to get the bowl soggy. My daughter and I sat outside I like places that give you this option; weather allowed. Thank you for a nice evening

This is a 5 of 5 place to eat. We had guest from out of town and were happy to take them to the Hill. Prices were reasonable and the food was excellent. Our waiter Michael added to the experience he was also excellent. We chose Veal Parm, seafood scallops and fettuccine all’s gian-Tony’s. Every dish was great. We had cocktails and those also were great. We would recommend this restaurant and will return.

This place is a bit erie inside due to the dim lighting. The food is EXPENSIVE we came for dinner and for 6 ravioli yep that’s right SIX lobster ravioli for $29!!!!! Was it delicious? Yes! But not worth $29 for 6 lobster ravioli. The calamari has tentacles and it’s SO chewy bleh
