if you want to have a great dinner in san ramon, I would recommend giannis Italian bistro. it will be a little overcrowded because of its popularity, so consider them going early. my preference is to actually go on a Monday or Wednesday if they are not so busy. (closed days) they are open to 8 most days and 9:00 on Friday and Saturday night. pasta is fresh and handmade, sauces are wonderful, and the meat cooked to perfection. you can't go wrong with any of the escapes. also plan to have an appetizer and dessert. a few favorites are: burrata cremige mozzarella with arugula, paprika, prosciutto panna cotta a gorgeous custard with bing cirschen

authentic Italian restaurant. great place, good food and fabulous service. my vegetarian favorite is pastiche (eggplant with cheese and sauce).

Such a cute place! The service is amazing and I've never had such authentic Italian food. Perfect for date night!

Update: we recently went back and the menu has changed. They no longer have the squid ink pasta or the sausage.
