The service is amazing, all of the waiters that you pass by welcome you. The dining area felt very cramped, like they tried to fit as many tables as they could and where we ended up sitting it felt like we had to sit very still to avoid being run into by the constant movement around us. The food is just okay. We ordered a filet mignon and a ribeye and aside from one or two tender bites in the middle, the rest was tough. The asparagus was better than the steaks. I agree with other reviewers saying it is overpriced but I have found almost everything in this area to be overpriced. Overall fantastic service, okay food, would not return and do not recommend.
I took my family to this restaurant recently for a birthday dinner. Overall, the service and drinks were good, and everyone enjoyed their meals for the most part. I ordered the WR Chicago Cut, which was decent but served medium well instead of the medium I requested. I didn't ask for a replacement, and while it was still tasty, I would have expected a restaurant of this quality to get the cooking temperature right. The waiter acknowledged that it looked overcooked but mentioned it would probably be less so in the middle. Everyone else enjoyed their meals, so I would likely give it another chance.
We visited this restaurant for dinner to celebrate my daughter's birthday, and I highly recommend making reservations since it tends to be quite busy. The staff was very friendly, and Edgar provided excellent service. It was a delight to see Mr. Brown, who came by our table to greet us and ensure we were having a wonderful evening. We consistently enjoy our dining experiences at Rosemont Gibson's. Thank you!
Really lives up to the hype. Quality of steaks and seafood is excellent. Service is fantastic. The char on the outside of the steaks while still getting it cooked to order (medium for me) is so so good. Only downside is it gets pretty loud in the dining room, even on a week night. If you're visiting or living in the Chicago area, you absolutely must try Gibsons at least once. It's one of the best steakhouses in town. They offer a wide variety of steaks to choose from, as well as cocktails, wines, and much more. And don't forget about dessert—you'll definitely love it!
