Approximately 10 of us sat outside in the beer garden on a Saturday afternoon for a friend’s Hen do. Of note we were mainly maturer ladies, not rowdy and not inebriated. We found the senior staff to be very rude, service with a scowl. A plate of our food was slammed that hard onto the table by the ‘duty manager’ that some of the food ended up on the table. When we commented that ‘she’s happy in her job’ and ‘she’s a bit miserable’ we were told we were not being served again as we had made derogatory remarks about a member of staff and some of our group had been vaping!! After experiencing a long wait to place my order because of the staff's poor English skills and difficulty understanding customers' orders, I decided to order breakfast with a coffee. Unfortunately, I was only given a mug and no directions on where to get my coffee. The food arrived in 15 minutes, but it was only warm, not hot, and no one came back to check on me. I will be avoiding this place in the future.
I was very disappointed with the menu at this restaurant. I wanted to order the chicken tikka curry, but it was out of stock, as were all the burgers. I ended up having the steak, which had more fat than actual meat. However, the waiting staff were very polite and accommodating. Despite the food being a let down, I still had a lovely evening with friends.
Staying in Kings Lynn for 2 nights and have used this pub both nights. The value for money is excellent. The food is lovely and drinks so cheap and the pub and beer garden are fantastic, will definitely be recommending it. Thanks wetherspoons Réservez une table maintenant
