Went in for an early dinner and enjoyed very friendly service. First impression was that the restaurant was bright and happy, but also warm. The booths are very comfortable. The dishes used for serving were adorable and authentic. The food (most important thing) was very good as well. We had gyoza to start and each order a maki set (3 sushi rolls). The seaweed salad seemed to be homemade. the BBQ eel pieces were ample and the sauce was delicious. I would recommend the black dragon roll for sure! The prices are also fair. We will return for more :). There was also a party room to the side for large groups and I would consider returning with a big group sometime!
we visited this place 3 times since it opened. There was a place downtown a few years ago with the same name and we loved it. We asked these people if it was the same but we could not get an answer (language barrier). I am almost sure it is not because this place is just not delivering what a Korean/Japanese place could. Spicy pork e.g. is soooo at it was inedible. Bulgoki is not tasting very well.
We have been to Gozen twice and both times it exceeded our expectations. The sushi is fresh, high quality and service is friendly and very helpful. Decor is modern and clean and the menu choices are vast. This will be our favorite place in London for sushi from now on.
