Myself and 3 girlfriends spent 3 restful and luxurious nights at this beautiful property. I’ve stayed at hundreds of hotels in my life including across Europe, and this property outdoes them all! Our expectations were exceeded in every way; no detail has been overlooked. The accomodation is perfectly situated in Battery Point with expansive views up to Mt Wellington and across the harbour and is only a short 10-minute to town. There are a handful of very sweet cafes, restaurants and boutiques a stones-throw from the accomodation, allowing you to mosey around the area at your leisure. The Grande Vue takes you back in time! The accommodation at the Grande Vue is *next level*. The entire house is so incredibly beautiful and no detail has been overlooked. The artwork is special the decor antiques and furnishings are breathtakingingly beautiful, I didn't want to leave. The kitchen is also so beautifully appointed and available to you all day which was really refreshing. Ash Brock the owners even bake cake and cookies for you to have with a cuppa tea after a day of sight seeing. There is no way anyone could not enjoy there stay here. from the moment when I first spoke with ash, I could not feel welcome anymore and I was so well taken care of. the hotel has been beautifully restored and the love for detail is incredible. the rooms are large, warm and cozy, the bed super comfortable and I was happy to have a look at the flow and the Choc chip cookies are supposed to die! I traveled alone, but in any case will be back. it is the perfect place for a girl long weeks or a special weekend away with her special someone.
We had a wonderful experience and will definitely return. The room was lovely, with a view of the harbor and equipped with everything we needed, including a Nespresso machine. We appreciated the thoughtful details like freshly baked cakes, complimentary port, and high-quality soaps. The location was perfect, just a short walk to Salamanca with fantastic dining options. The hosts were extremely welcoming and accommodating. The location was excellent and we had the added bonus of free parking. The room was spacious with a beautiful view to the harbor. There is something special about staying in a boutique hotel and their attention to every small detail was noticed and appreciated. Highly recommended and will definitely be back.
Lovely accommodation, with great views and a beautiful interior. Lots of extra touches with fresh flowers, complimentary Port, fruit and baked treats in the shared kitchen. Ash was a fantastic host. We are looking forward to staying again next time we are in Hobart.
