A friend & I got dropped off at Salamanca Place by taxi after a big day of attending a conference at the Wrest Point Casino. We stumbled across this place on the way to our accommodation. I love a good mulled wine, these guys know how to make a heart warming one. The bar staff kindly accommodated a half serve for a friend who hadn't tried a mulled wine before as she doesn't usually enjoy a red wine....she quite liked it. It was so nice I went back for a second one. The only tip I would have is for staff at the bar to have some decent orange peel at the ready in the front bar so they don't have to go looking for oranges in the kitchen and then get the peel off the orange.......meanwhile my mu...
So the pub where we had planned to do dinner tonight proved to be quite disappointing and nothing like anticipated from reviews online, (highly over-rated in Battery Point), so we decided to look for somewhere else on the fly which can be difficult because I have food allergies. So after some fruitless searching online, (because we didn't want to go far), we decided to wander down to Salamanca Pl and take 'pot luck'. Nous avons fait un point du groupe touristique chaque fois que nous sommes à Hobart, et au fil des ans, ils se sont révélés dans une vaste sélection de vins et d'un personnel compétent. Toujours occupé, qui est toujours un bon signe. Le seul inconvénient, bien qu'aucun dommage à la visite, est la qualité des repas qui a glissé la qualité, bien qu'il existe une bonne sélection à choisir.

La pizza d'agneau était la bombe. Les frites de cordon de chaussures avec des aïoli étaient Nombar. Les crucificateurs de fromages étaient impolis; Joie orale!
Really enjoyed the vibe at this wine bar. Bar tenders fun. Mulled wine delicious and the food was great and reasonably priced. We reserved a bar table and our table was ready for us on arrival. Live music was good maybe a touch loud. Great night out
We had mulled wine and lamb ribs. The mulled wine was like cake in a glass it was so sweet and spicy and delicious but the lamb ribs were even better. I licked the plate and wasn't ashamed. Highly highly recommended.

The tapas food is amazing.
