My friends and I visited The Grass Shopper in Morristown. We intended to sit at the bar, but it was busy. The hostess kindly informed us that there were available seats upstairs. The atmosphere was inviting, with beautiful decor and a clean environment. Our appetizers were tasty and the drinks were excellent. We chatted for hours while the friendly and attentive servers took care of us. I had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this place.
I will never return to any Grasshopper location, especially the one in Morristown, New Jersey. After a few adults called the Grasshopper to report the poor service, the person who answered the phone simply hung up on them. I plan to share my experience with everyone I know, and I believe many others will also choose to avoid the Grasshopper, particularly in Morristown. Perhaps the management should reconsider the people they hire!
This is a great spot for a quick meal. The food and service were both excellent. I enjoyed sitting in the outdoor tented seating area, which had a nice view of the parking lot and was blocked by a trellis. Make sure to tip generously, as the servers have to walk quite a distance to bring your food. The restrooms were clean and the parking was easy.
We went for lunch and found the place to not be crowded on Tuesday. The female bartender was nice to take photos for us and chat, order and eat us all the time in the world. The menu was very extensive and the prices were quite reasonable. The place is huge with an upper and lower floor and I would suspect that it is quite lively on weekends. I love this restaurant. The food is delicious and the staff is friendly. However, they need to improve their French fries. The fries are often undercooked and too oily, as if they were not fried at the correct temperature. They should consider making homemade fries instead, as that would earn them a perfect 5-star rating.
