Greens and Beans deli

Lived here in New Westminster now for almost 3 years. I keep hearing of this person, Leona Green and that she makes the best scones. Well as a scone lover I had to check her out at Green's and Beans Cafe. Not only did she blow past my expectations with her scones.... I've read so much she does good in the community. Very kind and giving and really makes our community come together. Not only did she take care of people and emergency workers during covid, she still continues on helping everyone she can. This is a small popular, local eatery. Busy - with good reason. I've tried two types of their soups; their grilled reuben sandwich; samosa and two-mile high clubhouse sandwich and some of their dessert bars. All top-notch! The staff enjoy bantering with customers in a pleasant welcoming way that make folks feel like they're at home. Food is served via a novel miniature train flatbed car ('tho it was broken today and last time I went) that kids and the kid inside us enjoy. While my wife was in the hospital up the road I stopped in here for lunch. I was under a lot of stress so was not the happiest person to be around. The staff was warm and welcoming. The owner had a great sarcastic sense of humour. Naming me "Mr Trip Advisor" after I explained I had read good things about the place on here. She said "she didn't bother with that stuff." I ordered the Mile High Club House and was not disappointed! Quickly served, stacked high with 3 meats(the way a club is supposed to be)! and very tasty. I left with a full belly and the banter put a smile on my face, which I really needed! I would definitely return but hopefully under better circumstances. Thanks ladies!

Very laid back, nobody stands at the front counter waiting for you to order. They are all busy attending to their food orders which suited me fine. Someone asked me what I wanted, I asked for a wrap; she shouted, on what kind, I shouted, on whole wheat. Before you knew it, it was done! In less than 3 minutes, I was heading out the door with my food. Nice place, lots of choices; may be my new favourite. Réservez une table maintenant

Fantastic sandwiches and soups. My food was brought to me by a train that circles the café. Great bread and an unbelievable amount of filling. I had a shrimp sandwich and could not believe the amount in the sandwich. All for a tight budget.

Really enjoyed our sandwiches, great prices on food and the little desserts. Very kind service, a really comfortable atmosphere. There's more space inside than it appears from the outside. I'll definitely be back to try the pies!

Excellent soups, and freshly made sandwiches. If you sit at the tables for lunch, your order comes to you on an electric train. Fun place to take children for lunch.
