I have a condition called ARFID, which is an eating disorder. I won't go into detail about it, but you can look it up if you're interested. When I went to the restaurant with my friends, they ordered pizza while I chose fried raviolis because they seemed like a safe option for me. However, when the raviolis arrived, they were covered in marinara sauce, which almost made me cry. Due to my anxiety and not wanting to be a bother, I pretended to have eaten them by tearing them up on my plate. I don't blame the waitress for this, as I didn't specify that I needed the marinara on the side. I would suggest serving them differently in the future. I used to be a big fan of Grottos, but now I only like them. Tonight I ordered a personal pizza with pepperoni and anchovies. I specifically requested extra anchovies, as I really enjoy them. However, when my pizza arrived, I was disappointed to see that there were only a few anchovies on it. The server explained that the amount I received was considered extra. She did bring me four more anchovies, but I was surprised that I had to ask for them in the first place. When someone says they love anchovies, they're usually telling the truth.
Today, I attempted to have lunch at this restaurant. After waiting for 10 minutes, I approached a worker dressed in a black shirt for assistance. He informed me that there were only two staff members working and he would attend to us when he could. Additionally, another worker in a blue shirt delivered food to a nearby guest without acknowledging our presence. Disappointed by the lack of service, we decided to leave. With the high level of competition in the Middletown area, this kind of customer service is not acceptable.
In about 15 years since I've been a grotto's. The quality of particularly at this location has gone way downhill. The wait service was adequate at best. The pizza sauce was bland, The crust was crunchy which was good. Chicken wings we're notimpressive. I may stop by the grotto's in Rehoboth again one day but I will not go back to this one Réservez une table maintenant
We had Italian sub and a chicken cheese steak and a bowl of onion soup. The sub was nothing close to an Italian. It was so dry. No cheese. No salt pepper or oregano. No oil. We asked for everything on it. The chicken cheese steak was dry. And the onionsoup was returned and still came back cold.
The restaurant needs to invest in property maintenance, including plumbing and improving the Wi-Fi. Customers would appreciate a new appetizer menu and more variety on the big screens, such as showing hockey during the winter season. Overall ratings: Food 3, Service 4, Atmosphere 2.
I tried the Mexican corn pizza and it was delicious. The service was excellent. I dined in for dinner and the price per person was between $10-20. I would give the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect score of 5. I highly recommend trying the pizza at this restaurant.
