I dined at this restaurant based on a strong recommendation from a social media connection. The decor was perfect, reminiscent of a traditional Southern restaurant from simpler times, with the emphasis clearly on the food. This is the best chicken I’ve ever had in my nearly 50 years! However, I’ve tried to place a pickup order over the phone on two separate occasions, and both times a young lady put me on hold and I could hear them chatting in the background. I was left waiting on the line for 10 to 15 minutes, and I could tell they weren't busy. The phone is right next to the register, and I've had enough. This used to be my go-to spot for chicken, but after this experience, I will not be returning. The last incident occurred on June 25, 2020, from 12:04 PM to 12:20 PM.
Wonderful place, amazing customer service and even more amazing chicken!! The manager even gave us the background on the family behind the chicken! The restaurant was spotless and everyone working was like a family. We will definitely be back and tell our friends!
Tasty food. My favorite was the fried pickles! They are open for takeout and delivery. I called them directly to place my takeout order. They stop taking orders 30 minutes before closing.

The chicken is good if you're lucky enough to order within whatever window they are open. I can tell you that 6:45pm on a Thursday is too late to place a pick up order. Ridiculous.
I was pleasantly surprised by this delightful restaurant in an unexpected location. The food was fantastic! I definitely plan to return and sample more of their offerings.
Wonderful fried chicken, beans, Cole slaw chess pie. Clean bathrooms, great music casual ambiance.
First time at Gus's. Wow, very good chicken. The fries are also delicious.
