I'm not a huge fan of Japanese cuisine, and I don't eat sushi (I've tried it a few times, and while Japanese sushi is better than Korean, it's still just okay to me). However, my wife absolutely loves it. I enjoy the pork chashu; it's consistently delicious and very filling, especially with rice. Even our picky kids enjoy it. We always leave feeling satisfied and happy. I wish it were cheaper—heck, I wish it were free! Still, I've had some truly awful food experiences (just imagining, not actual), so given that perspective, this place is fantastic!
We got takeout from this place for mother 's day. I just have to say we were impressed with the quality, especially because they were absolutely swamped at the time! I got the Hana 's Splendid Roll and my wife got the Lobster Roll. Both were delicious. I bit pricey for the amount we got (about $30 for both rolls, see pictures), but it was high quality. We also got takeout steak hibachi with rice and salad. Both were great. Our hunger for good Japanese food was satiated!
Unique Japanese experience especially, with the submerged sit down (take your foot gear off) style dining. Also, great manager owner and definitely the sushi chef makes creates a wonderful fresh treat in the original Japanese fashion. Very creative! Only (very minor) critique server smile some more!
I've visited this sushi restaurant many times, and it truly is the best. The atmosphere is lovely, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. My favorite dish is the chirashi, which is likely the best value for raw sushi you'll find. Be sure to also try the kani salad!

I’ve been stationed at Fort Meade and also in Hawaii, and I can confidently say this is the best place for Kalbi and Sushi—no contest! The service and decor are always impeccable as well.
Here's AWESOME! My husband and I love sitting on the platform where you're sitting on the floor with your feet subway. Peaceful ambience, delicious food, great service.
Very peaceful and romantic enviroment with amazing food!!! Abit expensive, but worth every cent!!! This place puts others to shame!!!!
Great local spot for quality sushi. Not the cheapest, but a good choice if you don't feel like driving to Joss in Annapolis.

Best Sushi I have had in Maryland. It is real Japanese resturaunt, not Korean, not neo-American.
Cozy and calm atmosphere. Sushi was great and the fish tasted fresh.
