I appreciate things have changed now when dining out but that doesn’t mean poor service can be excused. We arrived early so expected a wait so had a drink. 15 mins after our table was booked we were asked did we want another drink , not your table is ready as we expected. 40 mins after our table was booked we had to ask and circa 5 mins after were seated. We actually got our food an hour after we had reserved our table. No apology for the delay nor explanation and then a discretionary service charge added to our bill what service? My friend and I visited the restaurant today with our husbands and had a fantastic lunch. The newly renovated hotel has a serene atmosphere and the staff were professional and attentive. A special mention to the young man from Yorkshire and the Italian manager who took great care of us. We all enjoyed our starters - mushroom soup, mackerel dish, and prawns were all delicious. Our main courses of salmon, fish and chips, lamb, and the Harbour burger were also very tasty. We had a lovely afternoon with a table by the window offering great views, reasonably priced food and drinks, and excellent service. We highly recommend this restaurant.
We went to this restaurant on Wednesday evening. The bartender was excellent, making delicious cocktails promptly. We were seated at a table with a great view of the harbor. Our starters, the goat cheese and soufflé, were absolutely fantastic. The wine was also great. However, we were disappointed with the burgers we ordered. Despite the chef's experience at reputable restaurants in London, the burgers were cooked poorly. In fact, I can make better homemade burgers myself. The service was slow and could have been better. Overall, we were not impressed and probably would not recommend this restaurant.
I took my nan here with my mum for a surprise birthday afternoon tea. We were greeted at the door and shown to our table with a beautiful harbour view. Shortly after we were presented with 3 elegant glasses of champagne. The afternoon tea was amazing, an arrangement of yummy sandwiches and Devine cakes. All the staff, especially cassie, Sami and Fabio were so polite and friendly and went out of their way to assist our every need. I would highly recommend.

Had a lovely meal here tonight- the food was better than rick steins seafood restaurant last night! Cheese soufflé was a highlight and the views were fab. You can tell a lot of money has been spent on the bar and restaurant as the fixtures and fittings are gorgeous even down to the loos! Only tiny gripe was that the staff were a bit under resourced so we had to chase a couple of things but on the whole absolutely lovely!
A fab meal and service too in such a nice setting. We both had the seafood linguine which was nice, my only recommendation would be that the sauce was thicker and more tomato based because it was slightly on the thin side but perhaps that’s just my taste. Dessert was incredible, both the white chocolate Eton mess and the lemon meringue cheesecake were very very good. Top quality homemade desserts that looked fab too!
Lovely modern, new and fresh set up, with stunning views of the harbour, great for parking too. Well priced food. Friendly staff. Great healthy salad for me, chicken club sandwich good too. Crab sandwich short on crab and heavy on mayonnaise making them taste even less of crab, very disappointing for the price.
Amazing food lovely restaurant, over looks the harbour with parking. When we first stepped through the door the hotel looked beautiful, we sat in the bar at first which was very pleasant then we had 3 couses of deliscious food with really nice staff would definitly recommend. Amazing.

The hotel is so different it now has new owners, they have spent a lot of money on the money on the hotel and it really looks great. The new bar area if pure quality. Food really good also. Smoked Haddock Souffle was lovely and egg custard tart
Visited on a Sunday evening for a family meal. We had Chicken Duck really enjoyed our meals. The service was good the views from our table over the harbour were superb. Overall I would thoroughly recommend it
