Husband and myself were taken to this restaurant for our birthdays by the family, the food was so delicious, every mouthful from each plate had a different taste to savour. The stuffed capsicums were to die for, goat curry melted in your mouth, beef Choyla - marinated, very tasty, Beef Tandruk - a traditional beef curry, Khashi Ko Mashura Saag - delicious Lamb with spinach, plus rice and bread. We can't wait to return. The staff were very obliging, smiling and talking to our little grandson each time they walked past. Quite small, not much room, but it didn't matter, the food was that good. Very authentic Nepalese.

Wonderful food, served by delightful people. The founder of the restaurant many years ago was a cook to the royal family of Nepal, so this food is authentic. Though it shares some spices and ingredients with Indian cuisine (curry, chilli, chickpeas, tomato & potato) it's got a special touch all its own that makes it quite exceptional. The wine/beer list is quite nice, and fairly reasonably priced, and the portions are generous; so, although it's not a 'cheap lunch', for lots of delicious food and a bottle of wine, $100 for a couple isn't exorbitant, either. Good value, for this fine cuisine!

We hadn't been here for a couple of years but we had a friend visiting who always loved this place and it is still as good as ever. It was packed out on the Saturday evening we visited, with people even sitting outside with a heater and cafe blinds down. Our chicken dumplings and Nepalese eggs as starters were excellent. We each chose a small size curry - prawn, beef and goat - with jasmine rice and some vegetables and we were well satisfied. The coffee and Nepalese tea were good too. A great evening out.

We go here once or twice a year and are partial to the tasting plate. You really need to book here as it is only small. The tasting plate is really tasty and you get to try a variety of food. They will refill your curry if you want more but we never have enough room for more, although we took my brother and sister in law last year and they said it was the best restaurant they had ever been to. My brother in law refilled his curry 3 times so he could try all three! A good choice... if you can get in. Réservez une table maintenant

We went on a Wednesday lunchtime about 1.30pm. Not having been there for a few years and a change of chef we were curious to see if the quality had changed. The greeting was affable and we ordered the thali. One vegetarian and one with meat. They came out in good time and we were very pleased with them. The flavours were as we remembered and it was nice to have a constant in a food world that is changing by the day.

The restaurant has been part of the Applecross landscape for many years. Deciding I didn't want to cook last weekend the family settled on takeaway from Himali Gurkha. Their food never disappoints, authentic Nepalese food made from the freshest ingredients with many gluten free and vegetarian menu options available. All the dishes are delicious but can definitely recommend the Beef Choyla and the Puri.

My wife and I frequent this place. We took friends tonight and they thoroughly enjoyed it. I paid $38 for our dish that included free top ups so the value is amazing. The food tastes great, their momos taste good. Brought a bottle of wine as they are byo. The staff are super friendly and attentive. Cheap, cheerful and delicious!

An under rated restaurant that really has the potential of serving some good, fresh tucker. Unfortunately, theres not too much marketing for this restaurant, but being half nepalese, believe me you, if u ask for the right food- u won't regret it. Réservez une table maintenant
