I attended my nephew's 40th birthday which was hosted at Hook and Ladder on October 21st of this year, 2023. The venue was right next to the restaurant, with a separate entrance that took us to a space upstairs. It was magical. The main dining was indoors, but there was also a beautiful courtyard that led from the main room which was reminiscent of old world charm. This place was ok. When we first arrived the man at the host stand waited to greet us while he was working on his iPad and made us feel like we were bothering him. We sat on the front patio because that was the only patio that dogs were allowed on. Our server was nice and pretty attentive. The food and drinks I would give a 7/10. We had the calamari and the Donnie pizza along with a signature cocktail each. However the experience and vibe itself I would give a 5/10. The staff just didn’t seem welcoming which is disappointing because we recently just moved to the area and H&L is walking distance from us.
We had a family dinner here. Several people arrived early and had seasonal cocktails at bar, all were excellent. Server was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Atmosphere is very pleasant and casual. Food was all very good. The fried chicken sandwich, brick chicken, garlic shrimp, and short rib pasta got raves. The branzino and bean dish was amazing. Everyone at table enjoyed their order. Dessert was a wonderful panacotta with berries. Perfectly balanced dessert to end a meal with.

Went here for brunch and the experience was amazing. The server was very friendly and nice. We all offered the burger and it was decent, nothing too special. However, we do enjoy the bubble board. It's kinda new and the juices were refreshing when mixed with the champagne.
eating was excellent, drinks were small portions for the cost, but also delicious. always love when we come to hook and ladder, the seasonal menu is always so much fun
Visiting from Midwest and daughter who lives in Lincoln treated us. We will be back! Experience, atmosphere and food were all excellent!
