I can't comment on the Hotel as I live in Le Pont, so only use the restaurant. This is a family owned and run establishment. The food is great. I would say it's a mix of classical dishes and good brasserie fare. The specialty (as...the name suggests) is trout. either blue' (cooked whole is stock) or meunière' cooked in butter. You can also choose from steak cooked traditional in a pan or sur ardoise on a hot stone that cooks the meat in front of you. I've been fortunate to enough to eat here quite a few times of the last few years. The food is always of a consistent high quality. The wine list is good. The price is also good. Nachmittags um 15.00 Uhr war weder absolut nichts essbares zu kriegen. Weder Kuchen, (sei für Hotelgäste reserviert), noch Nussgipfel, oder ein Sandwich. Vor dem Eingang war eine grosse Tafel, wo heisse Schockolade Maison angeboten wird. Wir haben ohne vorherige Info eine ganz normale heisse Ovomaltine erhalten. Es gäbe Schockolade nur im Winter. Aber die Tafel müsse dort bleiben, da sie Gäste anziehe. Nur kriegen sie dann nicht, was Ihnen angeboten wird. Wir waren sehr entäuscht!

Ich war mit einem Freund von mir zusammen. Wir haben beide ein Steak auf 'Ardoise ' bestellt. Als Beilage hatten wir verschiedene Sauce, Gemüse, Pommes . Es war wirklich fantastisch! Der Kellner war sehr sympathisch und kommunikativ. Ich vergaß leider seinen Namen, er spricht mehrere Sprachen und hat uns sehr viel Spaß gemacht. Sehr freundliches und angenehmes Ambiente! Two years running splendid dinner on the busiest night fo the year 1 August, Swiss National Holiday . Staff goes out of its way to make good things happen get a table though not reserved and arriving within one vetoer large dog.. , Swiss food at its best and freshest. Fair prices given the quality. Will go back. every year.
