Their plant based menu has everything from BLT's to roast beef to hot pastrami along with breakfast items, desserts and so much more. Their desserts are TOP KNOTCH! I’m not local to West Orange and after a meet up nearby my husband and I were looking for somewhere with decent vegan options. HD came up as the closest option on HappyCow and I decided to stop in and see what it was about. OMG blown away!!! I got an HD club and I was obsessed with that sandwich!! We make the 45 min drive every once in a while because it’s so worth it. Best vegan baked goods I think I’ve ever had. Really want to make it for pizza day. Staff is super nice and there’s a lot of space inside.
Wow, monster sized delicious sandwiches!! Delicious brownies and cakes that i haven’t tried yet but look so amazing! Deliciously amazing diner style breakfast! Lets get back to those sandwiches!! Foot long subs packed with vegan deli meats and all the toppings. I recommend the blt and well every other sandwich they offer! I got the hot pastrami sandwich and the banana pudding cheesecake. The desserts all looked really good and I had a hard time choosing which one to get. It’s a good thing I live near by because I definitely will go back to try more of the menu items. The inside of the place was super clean and they had a place where you could sign your name. I took one bite of the pastrami and cheese breakfast sandwich. IN LOVE. So delicious! Amazing! Bravo! Highly recommended! 5stars. HD sandwich is soooo good too! Cute place in cute neighborhood!UPDATE. The Roast beef with provolone with Lemongrass Lemonade is so good...?
My daughter and I both loved our huge and filling subs: BLT and the chickpea tuna. Friendly family oriented spot. The icing on the cake is that it's black owned! I'll definitely return when I'm back up in Jersey. Hey, my name is on the wall!
Tried it for the first time after visiting the Statue of Liberty and everything was so delicious! The desserts were perfect. Not too sweet. We got the HD club and I wish I could come here more often!!! My recommendation: Try everything!
Stopped in for the first time after many years of visiting my fam in NJ and not having a ton of options. Had the Thanksgiving special on focaccia bread and WOW. Love. Pastrami and BLT were also big hits!
