I love this restaurant, but I would not order delivery. For some reason, carry out/delivery is terrible compared to dine in. One time I ordered orange chicken for take out and the chef forgot to fry it. It was ... interesting. However, when you eat in, it's a much better experience. The drinks are fairly priced and good. I have never had a problem with the food quality. And of course the complimentary tea, hot towels and orange ice cream make you feel like you are in an old movie. I'm not sure why the delivery service is so terrible is but it's a common occurrence. It seems that most bad reviews across the internet are for delivery which proves my theory. Therefore I can only give it 3 stars...
I tried the Shrimp Chow Fun, a special for the evening, which consisted of wide rice noodles stir-fried with bean sprouts, onions, and shrimp. The dish was flavorful but not spicy, and they were generous with the shrimp, which I appreciated. The General Tso's chicken was another dish I ordered, and it came in a large portion size. It seemed to be made with a mix of dark and white meat, in case you were curious.
For appetizers, the spring rolls were delicious, albeit a bit greasy. To conclude the meal, hot towels were provided for hand washing and tiny scoops of sherbet were served.
Overall, despite its shortcomings, I would consider returning to Hunan L'Rose when craving Chinese food.
I've tried their regular food and was not impressed. Prices are fair. The only thing I get here is the Hot and Sour Soup. Best one around town. My coworker likes their chicken wings. The interior is a little dark and outdated but decent. I haven't tried dining in; I order carryout 100% of the time.
It has been some time since I have had post-pandemic dining experiences, but in my opinion, the food quality has declined since the change in ownership and the installation of new management. It used to be a favorite spot for us, but it is still considered above average.

The manager refused to give me a refund and claimed that the foreign object in my food was just an onion. I was extremely disappointed to find maggots on my cooked food. Do not eat here under any circumstances. Stay away from this place.
This fried rice was the worst I have ever had. It had absolutely no taste. The man working in the restaurant refused to give me any utensils or sauce. There were too many green beans and baby corn in the dish.
Was going to drive up today until I saw all the negative reviews in the last couple of months. New Management has done a number on one of my favorites I see. What a shame! I'll pass!

Shrimp spring rolls were extremely salty, and French fries were under cooked, had to put on the oven to cook more.
Nothing special about their food. Very typical Chinese. Still my go to when I'm craving Chinese food.
