I had believed in HJ's as opposed to a Macdonalds take away because they were supposedly Australian.My recent experience at the above HJ's was abominable. We were visiting my wife's fathers as he lives in Bendigo but decided to stop in at Kangaroo Flats Hj's for a bite to eat. It ended up being worst idea we have had in a long time.We arrived and was second in line -- a new girl opened her register and proceeded to ask the young boy behind us for his order - We waited and waited 5- 10 mins min. I walked away in Disgust. The service at this restaurant was extremely rude. We were instructed to wait in the waiting area even though there was no one behind us. The employee then waited for another car to arrive before telling us to move into the waiting area again. The manager then brought out our cold and awful burgers. The service was terrible and we will not be returning to this place. It is better to support local businesses. Remember, you get what you pay for.
We had tried the burgers at Hungry Jacks years ago when we visited other Australian cities. This time at Melbourne, we tried it again for there was a Hungry Jacks at Southern Cross Station, which was just opposite to our hotel. The quality of it remained at a high quality. Also, as a bonus, we got free WiFi service there to keep us connected with other family members.
This is one of the original Hungry Jacks in Melbourne. I have been going here for over 15 years! Don't think I have ever had an issue with their service. Unlike the McDonalds opposite! Fresh and typical of Hungry Jacks / Burger King.

I had to write a review because the dyed red head girl was incredibly rude, we asked to change the order, an she had a fit rolled her eyes n got someone else to take over. Rude to all customers. Don't know why she's there
And I thought a whopper can;t be any different here...I tried a whopper both in Sydney and Melbourne and they were both excellent...a lot different from the whopper in my home country...
The burgers at this restaurant are tasty, but the service is lacking and I didn't receive my entire order. Unfortunately, this seems to be a common occurrence at similar establishments.
Initially thought it was a new chain which looked a bit familiar ;) then realised its just Burger King in Aussie. Bacon burgers were awesome especially since I dont get it back home.
