I visited here with colleagues for a mid-week evening meal. There are some great deals on such as early bird where you get three courses for £16.95. I opted for that as the options I was going to get for starter and main were on there anyway and it worked out cheaper to do that than order them from the main menu (plus I got dessert in the early bird price too! Starter of fried halloumi was really nicely cooked and a perfect sized portion. My colleague had calamari but they felt it was a bit soggy for their liking. For main I had penne dolca vita which was really tasty, It was nicely cooked, had a decent kick and flavour and was suitably portioned. Dessert I had ice-cream which was fine. Over...
Came here for a special birthday meal. Waited 1.5 hrs for a pasta dish and a lasagna. Got wrong dish after waiting so long! Asked For bottle of wine got a glass, asked for a second glass of wine waited 15 mins for the wrong wine. Starter arrived, where ok basic. 2 waitress’s on who where clearly not trained or happy! But not there fault! One asked if we would like the bill we hadn’t even had any food yet! We left after 1.5 hrs and went somewhere else! Paid for what we had drank/ate! Music very loud and pop music we asked if they could turn it down! Overall not a great experience at all, won’t be returning.
Went with a few friends for one of our colleagues leaving meal, the service was excellent, the food was delicious and very reasonable and because it was s Monday night and we ordered from the a la carte we got s bottle of wine free! A very friendly restaurant that I would highly recommend! Great menu choice! If anything too much choice, took us ages to decide as everything sounded amazing from pasta, pizza, Moroccan dishes to fillet steak! Something for everyone! Highly recommend here, it’s s regular meeting point for myself!
I have visited Il Padrino many times with my family and also with friends. The food is excellent quality and exceptional value- highly recommended! Service is friendly. Waiting on staff are attentive and nothing is too much trouble. I am waiting for it to re-open after lockdown as I know it will be safe and food just as delicious. If you are in Ormskirk, pay them a visit as you won't be disappointed.

Spur of the moment visit for Sunday lunch. What a find! Had 2 courses plus wine for £12.95. The seabass was magnificent £3 supplement) Staff friendly and efficient especially Brad. Vikas the manager) was very helpful and had a very calming presence. Enjoyed sticky toffee pudding for dessert yum! Will definitely come back
So, Came here after a long break due to Covid for steak night absolutely fabulous steak cooked to perfection staff were lovely and the food was fantastic!!! X We had fillet , porterhouse I normally go to a steak restaurant in aughton but must admit the steak here was much better Thanks guys we will be back next week!! X
accepted all three of us as walk ins. service was fast and very polite as were all the waitresses and the manager/owner. food was tasty and the atmosphere was much better than the previous restaurant we’d been to previously, should’ve gone here first!! would go again, hopefully soon
Found this place by chance, now we’re hooked, we have now been three tines in the past two weeks. Service great two lovely girls, very polite and eager to help, extensive menu reasonably priced, loved the pizza and sea bass. Loved it all. Going back for more soon

Only eaten here once and it was poor. our starter took an age to arrive and the main meal was not very tasty. the lager tasted as if the lines had not been cleaned for a bit. maybe will give it another go in the future but that once experience put us off.
