Having a bit of a break from Adelaide in Scarborough, Perth foodie mate and myself decided to head to Ishka for dinner. Although we had read mixed reviews from different sites, we thought, we will try anyway! Well! my foodie friends! we really should have taken notice and not bothered, severe waste of money.
The décor is actually quite lovely (except the dining chairs look a bit cheap which I found unusual).
Service was good, except for the fact that they did not handle complaints too well, the most difficult job for a waiter, as this is usually not their fault.
We started with some cocktails, which were okay, the marshmallow martini I had was uber sweet, so beware!

Has a group of between 5and 8, regularly went to steak nights,but alas,no more...Last visit,one of our steaks was rotten,soon as I cut into it,colour was not right and the smell was horrid... Immediately complained,and the meal was reluctantly replaced,for which I was asked to pay the difference.!!!!But the evening was ruined,and none of us finished our meals,...Made a formal complaint by phone and confirmed be email a day later,,but up till now(4 weeks later) I(we) have been ignored,hence the negative feed back.......Needlesss to say,as a group,we have found a new venue for our regular steak nights,and shall not be returning to the Breakwater again,shame.........Hence, be aware,,if it can h...
My partner and I had the most unpleasant experience on Christmas Eve. It all started with the security at the entrance being quite hostile and highly racist when I showed my ID. The next most disappointing was the food. I ordered chicken tikka masala which wasn’t cooked well and the rice was definitely not fresh. I would highly not recommend this dish. My partner had chicken burger, the chicken was undercooked, the vegetables were not fresh and the bread was stale. Definitely not worth $66 !!!!! One of the grottiest venues I have been in. Female toilets don't lock. Rude staff. They have seriously dropped the ball here.
