Updated review after 2 years, for in-person dining. Yayume used to be one of our favorite spots for a meal right before or after a movie at Regal Crow Canyon. Unfortunately the theater folded and with us recovering from pandemic lockdowns and as busy parents, going out is more of a luxury. I am thrilled that Yayume offers consistently good and fresh nigiri sushi and Teriyaki salmon and chicken entrees. Our 2-yo is a huge fan of the salmon and he can probably eat the whole filet by himself! I do recommend getting the Teriyaki sauce on the side for both dishes, since that way you control the messiness factor and seasoning. Service continues to be friendly. One time they offered a free orange j...

One of the curses of being the best sushi in San Ramon is that everyone shows up on Valentine's day. I come here all the time, and will still come back but they were a huge disappointment on such a busy day. They lost my order so I waited an hour, which I could be patient about cuz the 2 servers were hustling. BUT when I took the food home, the Lion King was burnt, dry, and overcooked. The rice in the meal seemed dry and old. One of the dishes was just wrong. The fact they sent out a burnt Lion King was unacceptable. My message to management (I don't blame the servers) is to staff up on such a busy day. Plan ahead. Do better. We spend $70+ on food that was partially not edible.

Idk how any of you are dishing out 4 stars salad not fresh, you know when salad in grocery has been in water so long it gets soggy and dark? yeah bits and pieces of that were in the salad. miso soup seaweed looks like it's been out, it was brown also not fresh soup because at any other sushi spot, miso soup would be scorching hot. agedashi tofu not even warm when served tasted like they opened a bag from Ranch 99 and served it on a plate with some sauce and bonito flakes african spider roll shrimp was tough, tasted old chicken teriyaki don way too saucy dinner combo chicken teriyaki w tempura it came in a 2 ft x 1 ft plate with a tiny serving of rice

Yayume is my favorite Japanese restaurant in the greater Bay Area, and I have convinced many of my friends to agree with me. The sashimi is always fresh and the dishes always look mouthwatering! Today, I tried many new rolls. The Salmon Q appetizer had a fried rice patty at the bottom with crab meat, avocado, and spicy tuna on top. Every bite was full of flavor. The Sunshine roll had Chutoro on top and also had a burst of flavors. The service was great, and I appreciated the ice bucket for the Nigori to keep it cold. I can't wait to try other dishes next time! Réservez une table maintenant

For the win. Oh yes. I was pleasantly surprised. It was busy and they were really fast with some amazing sushi. I'm learning more and more about sushi and my waitress made great selections for me. It's cute . The service was excellent. It looks like a small family run place so expect some love when you come in. They greet you immediately and seat you really fast. They have a busy take out as well. There were no delays in my food it was fast .. and I am very very happy . I will be back. Definitely... I

We really enjoy this restaurant! As someone who is new to sushi, the friendly lady convinced me to try the deep-fried sushi, and it was amazing! I know it's technically not traditional sushi when it's deep fried, but I don't mind because it tastes great! If you're not a fan of the texture of raw fish, maybe give it a try one day?

We had an amazing dining experience at Yayumi. The food was fantastic, the service was friendly, and the spacious, clean environment keeps us coming back for both lunch and dinner. The sashimi is always fresh and delicious. You can't go wrong with any of the rolls or sashimi dishes here.

The low carb roll came with five pieces (one was eaten hence the cloture) and it costs $17! Usually the entree would come with another option but it's very expensive for just one item, with salad, rice and soup. This place is very expensive, average roll is more than $15. I appreciate Yayume for being one of the restaurants staying open later these days. Sometimes you're not ready for dinner until 8pm and Yayume is open till 9:30. Their hamachi is delicious. The service is great. The
